Connect your personal reasons to a social problem. Discuss and analyze the problem (3 pages) using APA (or other), including references.
NOTE: My Personal reason is to support people suffering with addition
1. Talk briefly about addiction and indicate the extent to which it is a social problem.
There are multiple addictions eg. Drug, alcohol, sex, gambling, etc.
2. How do these different addictions affect those experiencing them? eg, loss of job, death, marital breakdown, mental health, homelessness etc.
3. Identify your role as a social worker in supporting people resolve their addiction problems. eg. Doing referrals to community services, supporting those who have court cases, supporting them identify treatment options such as therapists, psychologists, residential treatment etc.
