The needs assessment will also help you to prepare for crisis and potential problems during an event. Goals & Objectives Second, imagine that you are the planner. Based of your explanation from the attendee point of view, think about how you, as a planner, would craft the goals and objectives for this event. First, explain the primary purpose of the event. Next, outline at least 3 goals for the event and 3 objectives (for each goal), based on the needs assessment. Remember that goals are overarching, and that objectives are measurable.
