There many changes and social problems that impact families. Choose one of the following social problems that impact families: divorce or one-parent families.

 

Project Specifics:

 

  • The paper should be between 800 and 1000 words, double spaced, not including the title and reference page.
  • Use at least three  references including one from :Henslin, James M. (2013). Social problems: A down to earth approach, 8th Edition.
  • Paper must be original, no plagiarism.

Part I: Begin your paper with a discussion of the social problem you have chosen and explain why you have chosen this particular social problem.

 

Part II: As human services professionals, it is important to be able to view social problems from multiple perspectives. There are often many people involved in a social problem. Some of the different people involved in social problems like divorce, one-parent families, and family violence are the mother, the father, and children. All of these people will be impacted by the problem in a unique way, and they may have different perspectives about what is occurring. With Part II, you are going to have the opportunity to examine the social problem you chose from multiple perspectives.

 

If you chose divorce or one-parent families, discuss how the parents and the children involved view the issue.

 

Part III: Conclude your paper by discussing how society views the social problem that you wrote about. In addition, discuss your role as an advocate. How can you work to create awareness and teach others about diversity and multiculturalism.

Consider a woman who gets intoxicated on alcohol three or four times a year and each time fights with someone and destroys property, either hers or somebody else’s. Provide a 500 word or more response on the following:

  • Would you diagnose her with a substance use disorder? Why or why not?
  • Would you think differently regarding your diagnosis if she were 16 years old vs. 28 years old or 58 years old?
  • What else would you need to know to make an accurate diagnosis?
  • What assessment methods should be used to make an accurate diagnosis? Support your viewpoint by using at least two examples.
  • As appropriate, cite the online course, the textbook, and other credible, scholarly sources to substantiate the points you are making.

Compare and contrast your answer with at least two other students’ responses.

There are two commonly used screens for addictions: The CAGE and the AUDIT. You can include a discussion about these assessments when talking about the case.

Pavlov, Watson, and Skinner are considered the originators of behaviorism. All contributed to learning theory. All three of the researchers studied the effects of the environment on learning.

Select one of the three behaviorists who, in your opinion, offers the most compelling argument for the use of behaviorism when teaching a new subject to an adult and to a child. Identify that behaviorist, then answer the following questions about his approach:
