Analyze the basic technology underlying health care information systems.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

  1. Identify and analyze what you believe to be the most significant new technology requirements for the health care industry. Indicate how providers should approach the implementation of this new technology requirement that you have identified. Provide support for the response.
  2. Analyze the basic technology underlying health care information systems. Argue that the need for technological innovation and / or modification is most pressing. Support the argument with examples.
  3. Recommend an innovation / modification, and explain how the recommendation could improve the overall level of health care in your own community. Include specific example(s) using local hospitals or other health care providers to support the response.
  4. Suggest a key action that senior health care leadership could take in the community in which you live to push the boundaries of information technology management. Next, speculate on the effect to the community as a result of the improvement to the health care technology.
  5. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

different types of communication methods for the health care organization

Option 2: Communications Coordinator

Consider the following scenario:

  • You are the communications coordinator for a national drug manufacturer. Recently, there have been reports of significant negative effects caused by one of your medications that is used by a significant population. Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper on different types of communication methods for the health care organization described in the scenario.

Include the following in your paper:

  • The advantages and disadvantages of using traditional, electronic, and social media for health care communication
  • The effects of HIPAA and other regulations on the use of these media for health care communication

Cite a minimum of two sources, one from the University Library and the other from the course textbooks or Electronic Reserve Readings, to support your position.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Do you think HSAs can help improve health care cost, quality, and access?

The United States has arguably the most advanced health care in the world. And yet, a large proportion of Americans do not have access to this care due to its high cost. Providers, consumers, and the government have long searched for a way out of this paradoxical situation. HSAs offer one solution.

The American health care system is complex. A part of the population has access to health care through Medicare and Medicaid. Another part simply pays for care out of pocket. A substantial proportion of the population uses third-party payers to pay for care.

Payers have reacted to the rising costs of care by introducing various gatekeeper mechanisms. These have not been popular with consumers who see them as restrictive. The American population is aging and the need for care is likely to increase over the next decade.

While the earnings of health care professionals have been increasing, insurance premiums have also increased. Among hospitals, many are non-profit organizations offering substantial charity care. But for-profit and non-profit hospitals alike must show return on investment to remain viable. Providers must also factor reimbursement policies of payers into their decisions, sometimes even clinical decisions. These groups of stakeholders—patients, providers, payers, and the government—have different goals and different responses to the rising cost of care.

Based on your understanding, answer the following:

  • In your opinion, can HSAs be aligned to the expectations of all these groups?
  • Do you think HSAs can help improve health care cost, quality, and access? Why or why not?
  • Cite your sources in your work and provide references for the citations in APA format.

Debate the efficacies of public versus private-based quality initiatives. What roles do each play in the quality of U.S. health care?

I have 4 questions to be answered. This does not require any writing format. all 4 questions can be combined into 3 pages, and any sources used should be cited. This is a nursing program, but the class is healthcare finance and ethics so answers should be geared towards healthcare.

1.Debate the efficacies of public versus private-based quality initiatives. What roles do each play in the quality of U.S. health care? How would the elimination of one aspect affect the other?

2. After reading the Kaiser Family Foundation summary on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, state why or why not you believe the act should remain in law, or which pieces should be reversed. Then describe two pieces of the act that you were unaware was part of the act and how that may affect you as a citizen.

3. What are the eligibility requirements and coverage of Medicaid for the categories of low-income adults, pregnant women, and the aging/blind/disabled in the state where you live?. (Use Georgia) Do you consider the eligibility requirements reasonable or restrictive? Do you consider the coverage reasonable or liberal? What are the benefits and drawbacks to keeping these populations insured through Medicaid? Consider both direct and indirect factors.

4. Review the CMS.gov 30-Day Mortality and Readmission Data website. Review at least two local hospitals (Any can be used) and see how they compare to state and national benchmarks. How and why may a consumer or a health care professional use this data to make decision about their next hospitalization? Will reporting this data have an impact on hospitals bottom line in addition to financial penalties from CMS? Give at least two examples of how this data may be used and what type of impact if may have if at all on the hospitals.

I did input 8 sources because it only allows the input of numbers, but I would require at least 1-2 sources per question. Please let me know ASAP if this can be done and what more information is needed.
These are just discussion questions, but sources used should be cited
