2. (10 P) A. Draw upon DY Kim’s article, “The Pursuit of Elite High Schools and Colleges among Second-Generation Korean Americans” and my lecture notes on Educational Practices. How do Korean American family and community emphasize the educational performance and career choice of college students. Provide concrete examples of such practices. 
B. Drawing upon Lew’s article: “A Structural Analysis of Success and Failure of Asian Americans,” explain why there is a wide range in educational experience among Korean American youth.

Social factors such as socioeconomic status, educational attainment, social interactions and support, and health literacy independently influence the development and progression of illness and health outcomes. Other social determinants of health or illness are race, ethnicity, occupation, geographic location, and religion. These factors influence health through direct psychobiological processes or lifestyle modifications (Martikainen, Bartley, & Lahelma, 2002).

To prepare for this Discussion:
Review this week’s resources. Consider social factors known to influence health outcomes. Select two factors of interest to you. Consider both macro and micro aspects of medical social work.

Post an explanation of how two social factors influence health outcomes. Describe medical social work interventions that target these factors to improve health outcomes, and explain why you selected these interventions. Explain the tasks a social worker might need to complete in order to reach the desired outcomes.

To describe and discuss a suitable strategy/policy change for managing a specific equality and diversity issues of your choice which is causing conflict with other employees that has arisen within the workplace. (This could be in relation to religious, gender, sexual orientation, age, race or transgender, etc. and recognising unconscious bias) Students will be required to: • Demonstrate a critical awareness of Diversity and Equality issues that affect the efficiency, relationships and team working of a global business. • Analyse the various issues that can affect the establishing of a global business, such as the political, socio-economic or religion. • Ensure the application of relevant theory and academic model provide a suitable complement of theory and practice. • Ensure the appropriate academic referencing is adopted.
