The Consumer Decision-Making Process

Whether you realize it or not, youve been a consumer all your life. The types and costs of your purchases have changed over time, but youve learned from watching others and experiencing the sensation of choosing an item and making the purchase. What you may not realize is that youve likely followed a consumer-purchase process.

For this assignment, you will do a three-part deep dive into the consumer decision-making process.

Part One. Complete the following:

Identify and discuss the process, taking care to explain each step. Walk your reader through each step of the consumer purchase process, defining each step.
Choose a major purchase that you plan to make in the future (e.g., a vacation, a car, a smartphone, a computer, a Hermes handbag, a horse, etc.).
Apply each step to your purchase (e.g., identify why you find yourself making this purchase, perform an information search, evaluate alternatives using a table, make a choice and justify it, and so forth.).

You are not expected to actually make the purchase, so you may predict the outcome, as opposed to actually describing it.

Part Two. In this section, you will identify and analyze the factors that have influenced your actions and decisions throughout the process. These include:

Personal factors that affect your perspective (e.g., faith, age, lifestyle, location)
    Pricing and personal accounting
The type of purchasefunctional versus hedonistic
    Family influence
    Ethical considerations
    Image
    Ease and place of purchase

Part Three. For this final section, synthesize your findings and analysis from Parts One and Two. Consider the following questions: What factors are strongest and least likely to change your purchase decisions? What factors are more variable? How can marketers use these insights to attract new customers and deepen relations with existing ones?

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

    Be 10-12 pages in length.

Why you should stop smoking cigars, and cigarettes

PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY! IT REQUIRES 3 PAGES, NOT SLIDES.

CREATE AT LEAST FOUR MAIN POINTS AND BE VERY INFORMATIVE AND ELABORATE ON EACH POINT.

The introduction to the persuasive action speech should gain attention, orient the audience by stating the topic, offer a reason for listening, and preview the body of the speech.

The body of the persuasive action speech must contain 4-5 main points using patterns of organization covered in the textbook; other patterns of organization must have prior approval by the instructor. Each main point must be well supported by 2-5 1st-order sub-points (what the textbook calls subpoints) designed to illustrate the main points (examples, illustrations, facts, quotations, etc.) Don’t overload the audience with information. Move from simple to complex ideas. Move from familiar to unfamiliar ideas. Define your terms.
The conclusion of the informative speech should restate or summarize the main points and communicate a sense of finality (verbally or nonverbally indicate that you have finished talking). You may end the speech with a story or quotation.
Transitions between major sections of the informative speech (introduction, body, conclusion) and the main points should be carefully planned and used while delivering the speech. Use transitions to move the audiences attention from section to section and from main point to main point in the body of the speech.
You should have at least 5 outside sources of information for the speech. You may use written sources (e.g., books, magazines, newspapers), credible online sources, and personal interview. MUST BE IN APA FORMAT!!!!!
