My topic is serial killers and mass murderers. My research question is “Are serial killers and mass murderers purely an American phenomenon?” I think I will approach it by the historical definition of “serial killers” and “mass murderers” in legal and law enforcement terms. Then, might be compare and contrast?? About their being an American phenomenon, I think I can also talk about other countries’ views of serial killers and how prevalent they are there. I also think of possibilities as to why American media focuses on these things more-so or less-so than other countries. For example, China government has censored news coverage, internet. Or language barrier, article published in their language and no English sources available.These are some of my idea. Feel free to add or revise to make the paper stronger.
