In October 2009, (David) Russell Williams was a 46-year-old decorated colonel and commander of the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) in Trenton, Ontario – one of the largest and busiest air force bases in Canada. Williams was regarded as a model military man, a “shining bright star, who had advanced quickly through the ranks over the course of his 23-year career. An elite pilot, he held various postings, some of which involved transporting high-ranking government officials and foreign dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II, the Prime Minister, and the Governor General of Canada. One year later (October 2010), Williams was a convicted serial killer and sexual predator.

If you can determine the criminological theory as to why he committed these crimes, please include this as well.
