Deliverable 7 – Social Media Plan

Instructions

Social media use is critical to a dynamic and competitive brand, whether that brand is something you sell, a group home, a non-profit organization, or your self-image. This project will get you thinking about effective ways to shape your social media tools to make the most of your brand, to keep consumers talking and thinking about your brand, and to get interaction from those you seek to sell to or to help. You will take a look at what you post to social media, possible responses or reactions you will receive, as well as use social media trends and society controls to keep your brand meeting your goals.

Your final project should include a plan for the following: how you will utilize a minimum of four social media sites; what your target audience will be; your use of contacts, outreach, and advertising best practices; your posting do’s and don’ts; and explanations of your choices using the sources from the course and others you find.

If you have a real business, brand, or site to work on, you can start by putting the site profiles into the four social media sites you have chosen (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Screenshots will work for these that you have really made. If you don’t really have a business or brand, you do not need to create faux profiles. However, you should write the information you would include in your profile for each one.

In summary, your plan should contain:

  • An introduction to your brand or company
  • Your social media goals and general goals for the brand
  • An analysis of the market comparables — similar businesses/nonprofits/brands, including what has been successful and what hasn’t worked for at least 3 good comparable brands
  • Discussion of societal norms for those comparables. What seem to be the “rules” they follow? Is there open or tacit regulation you’ve noticed? Include how you can expand your influence globally by overcoming potential language and culture barriersÂ
  • An analysis of advertising and its necessity along with the type of advertising you would do and why
  • An outline of the audience you intend to reach and how to reach them. Be sure to take into account the factors that are in play when attempting to reach an audience that includes a wide range of ages (consider generational differences)
  • A plan for how to use your contacts and add new ones when publicizing and staying connected
  • A plan for each of four social media sites, including profile information and posting ideas
  • Analysis of any of the theories you would use
  • A conclusion

Your project lengths will depend on how much depth you put into your analysis of each section, but to give you a general idea, several paragraphs for most of the bullet points is a good length, and should result in a total of around 10 pages.

Explain the school-to-prison pipeline and why we should be concerned with this topic

Write a paper identifying techniques that could be done to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Please include free or low-cost techniques, as well as more in-depth, systemic-level techniques that can lead to change. Please be creative and concise. More specifically, please address the following points in your paper:

  1. Explain the school-to-prison pipeline and why we should be concerned with this topic (2 point)
  2. Describe at least two free or low-cost solutions/techniques. I am interested in things that could be done today to address this topic (4 points)
  3. Describe systemic influences that have “caused” or contributed to the school to prison pipeline. Describe techniques or solutions that would disrupt the pipeline, and specify how you propose to disrupt the pipeline (4 points)

Introduction to Psychology Summarization Assignment

For this assignment, you will: • Read the passage (below) from your textbook. • Think about the main ideas contained in the passage. • Make a list of four (4) main ideas contained in the passage. • In your own words, summarize the main ideas in paragraph form with a minimum of four (4) complete sentences.

Textbook Passage:

“…how much of our behavior is a consequence of our unique and special qualities, the individual differences that differentiate us from other people?  Conversely, how much reflects the culture and society in which we live, stemming from universal principles that underlie the behavior of all humans?  Psychologists who rely on the neuroscience perspective tend to look for universal principles of behavior, such as how the nervous system operates or the way certain hormones automatically prime us for sexual activity.  Such psychologists concentrate on the similarities in our behavioral destinies despite vast differences in our upbringing.  In contrast, psychologists who employ the humanistic perspective focus more on the uniqueness of every individual.  They consider every person’s behavior a reflection of distinct and special individual qualities.”

Discussion 2: Documents And Website Content As Data Sources For A Qualitative Study

Websites and social media sites can provide important sources of data that will help expand your understanding of the stakeholders who are connected to the phenomena you are exploring.

Walden has devoted an entire website to making visible its actions and activities about social change. At the social change website, you will find videos, annual reports, text, and images. As you explore this data source, consider what text, images, and reports you would like to include as part of your data analysis exercise.

To prepare for this Discussion:

· Choose one of the three social change literature review articles found in this week’s Learning Resources and review the article in detail.

· Explore the Walden Social Change website and locate an additional document, video, or webpage that will inform your understanding of the meaning of positive social change. Reflect on any additional sources you find.

· Next, write field notes based on the information you gathered from the Walden social change website and any other documents or websites that might inform your changing impressions about the meaning of positive social change.

· Finally, review the media programs related to coding and consider how you will use this information to support this Discussion. Note: In your Excel Video Coding template there is a tab for your website data. Use this tab to place your content and codes for the website.

By Day 4

Prepare a brief explanation of your understanding of the meaning of positive social change thus far. Refer to the additional sources you have reviewed this week, and comment on how they are shaping your experience. Use the data you gathered from your analytic memo to support your explanation.

Be sure to support your main post and response post with reference to the week’s Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA style.
