Analysis of Chapter 1, 2, 3 and 4

 

I have an assignment to do.. What my professor really wants is like an overview of 4 chapters, a general thing of ideas.. Basically she wants to see what are our thoughts in regards of each chapter that we have been reading so far. it’s from 1-2-3 and 4 chapter from the book. I know that you don’t have book and its fine……So I’m sending you the main subjects/Topics that we were discussing thru this first month of the semester. That’s why I sent you questions from each chapters because that’s what we have been covering from each chapter. Just for you to have an idea what we have been doing for each chapter. What we have been discussing and as you can see there’s is some videos etc.. So I guess my professor wants like a summary but not really a summary bcz she wants to hear our own opinion examples etc.. I also attached the first 2 paragraph of the paper I sent you what she was asking for, for this paper. What she’s looking for. I just need 3 pages only. Thank you.

 

 

Instructions:

 

This assignment requires students to submit a 2-3 page integration paper about the readings and videos assigned in class thus far (Chapters 1-4). This paper requires the student to critically think about the topic covered in order to identify overlapping themes or concepts, and then find personal applications or reactions to what you have read and seen. Although this paper is a forum for you to express your opinion about what you have read, you must support your opinions with evidence from the reading(s). Do not simply summarize, I am interested in your assessment of what you read/saw.

 

This paper must be TYPED, double-spaced, with no larger than one inch margins on all sides and MUST BE IN ESSAY FORMAT. Essay format is defined as written work with an introduction, body and conclusion. Each paragraph must be 4-6 sentences in length and conform to the use of standard grammar and spelling. We live in the computer age, where “Spell and Grammar Check” are readily available. I expect that you will make use of both to proofread your work prior to submission. Points will be deducted for excessive spelling and grammatical errors.

1 Do you believe that mass media play an intricate role in what social issues will be paid attention to and what will be ignored? Are media outlets biased to political ideology and special interest groups? 

2 Compare and contrast the video and chapter 1. Ex: What are your thoughts on entitlements and corporate welfare? Are they one in the same or completely different?

3 Discuss public school education, local taxes and the effect it has on lower income neighborhoods.  

4 What do you believe should be on the agenda during presidential primaries?

5 You can also discuss the recent current events that tie into social policy and social welfare: such as the Flint Water Crisis
