A new group called Global Rights for All Peoples (GRAP) has hired you to be a social movement consultant. Provide a plan of action for this new transnational movement that includes your best advice for what kind of organization they should establish, how to recruit participants, how they should present themselves to the public, and what kinds of tactics are likely to be most effective. In developing this plan, detail what you think are the main challenges (e.g., recruitment, organization, media framing, repression, opposition, alliance formation) facing such a transnational effort, drawing on what you’ve learned about other social movements examined in the course when relevant. Readings from weeks 6-7 will be especially helpful in completing this assignment, but the point is to be as convincing as possible in laying out your plan, so you might also want to draw on earlier assigned texts. You do not need to incorporate any new readings for this assignment but I expect you to cite course materials when appropriate. Remember: the target audience for your plan of action is a group of global activists, not academics!
