Write a response essay to article

Suppose you are Chinese.

Now that you have read Hartse’s essay, we want you to think about an ordinary phrase in your first language (the language you grew up communicating in) that you believe might be interesting or useful to know in English, too. As part of your response tell your readers how you might translate the phrase from your language into English, and explain your translation. Why would the phrase you selected be interesting or useful to know in two or more languages?

Write a brief response. And select a relevant quotation from Hartse that helps you explain why you believe it might be useful to know your chosen ordinary phrase in two or more languages.
