Group Project – Mental Health Role Play This project will be a group project of two students demonstrate
through role play (10 min max), in which one student will role play the client and the other the mental

health nurse. The group will act out a mental health assessment of a client with a mental health condition.

The client will include DSM criteria for a mental health condition (behavior, affect, eye contact, thought

process, body language, etc). The nurse will conduct assessment, review of medications and screening

for side effects while utilizing therapeutic communication with the client. The skit will include the
