Coding and Billing Issues

To prepare:
    Select 1 of the following topics
o    Applying for Medicare and Medicaid Provider Numbers
o    Application process for National Provider Identifier Number
o    Incident to billing
o    Coding-Evaluation & Management
o    Fraudulent billing
o    Billing Self-Pay patients
o    Managed Care Organizations
    Conduct a search and select a peer-reviewed journal article published within the last five years related to the topic you selected.
Part 1:Post a brief summary of the article you selected. Include the key reimbursement issue addressed and how they would impact the NP in a collaborative practice versus and independent practice. Discuss an ethical or legal implication(s) associated with your article (1 and 1/2 page long).  Need at least 3 credible resources and 1 peer reviewed resource

Part 2 : The 2nd 1 and 1/2 page would be : Then pick 2 more peer review journals on 2 other different topics and write on the key reimbursement issue addressed and how they would impact the NP in a collaborative practice versus and independent practice. Discuss an ethical or legal implication(s) associated with your articles. Need at least 3 credible resources and 2 peer reviewed resources
