Order Paper NowRe:Module 7 DQ 1
It seems that every time I read a new article, I get a new perspective on my topic and want to change directions. After having a call with my content expert and Dr. Rowell, I feel a lot more focused and believe I have found my niche. After working on the review of the literature, I am seeing how themes and topics are appearing that will become subsections of that chapter. My chapter 2 submission for last week was pretty thin, but I realized that this is a work in progress. I am not supposed to have read, reviewed, and incorporated all of the literature on my topic as I have not read all the literature on my topic. Neill (2017) states that writing a literature review can seem daunting and those that are new to the process are not sure where to begin. However, in seeking to synthesis published research findings on my topic, gaps in the current knowledge with be exposed allowing for the investigation in forming a new question to be asked. If I do not know what has been done before, I do not know what is left to do.
I feel that my progress is moving along, and the biggest change I have made is how I store the articles I have been reviewing. Since my memory is definitely going, I had to come up with a way that worked for me. By finding topics in what I am reading, I am able to create documents that are clearly labeled as that topic and I am putting my notes, and reference information directly into those documents. It has allowed me to peruse smaller segments of information at one time as opposed to keeping everything in one document.
