Write a 1,500-1,750-word policy proposal related to the sale, trade, or donation of human organs using five to seven academic resources.

Respond to listed statements in at least 250 words each. Do you agree or disagree with the statement.

Statement 1:  Gabriel Tarde’s theory on imitation is still legitimate today, to some degree, in that individuals do imitate those in power over them. This is seen mainly in adolescents. As people grow, they imitate their parents. When someone is raised in a loving environment, they grow up showing love to their families. However, when people are raised in a home with hate, bigotry, racism, or where the thought of killing those who think differently should be terminated is normal, this is how these individuals will act. Tarde believed that it is purely imitation that makes a person a criminal.

Statement 2:  Lastly, the theories of Albert Bandura and Edwin Sutherland helped establish the learning perspective. Bandura’s social learning theory implies by watching someone get rewarded for an action, someone is likely to model that behavior (Harmening & Gamez, 2016). In his differential association theory, Sutherland claimed when an individual becomes associated with a group, they begin to mimic and learn their behaviors (Bartol & Bartol, 2014).

A Policy Proposal as a Guest Editorial

Write a 1,500-1,750-word policy proposal related to the sale, trade, or donation of human organs using five to seven academic resources. The policy proposal should be suitable for publication as an editorial in a college or city newspaper or in a publication associated with a particular group, such as a church newsletter or employee bulletin. The voice and style of your argument should be aimed at readers of your chosen publication. Remember to not use first person pronouns (I, me, us, we, our, my, mine) or second person pronouns (you, your, yours) in this guest editorial writing, unless given permission by your instructor.

Your editorial should have the following features:

1. Identify the problem related to the sale, trade, or donation of human organs.

  1. Persuade the audience      that you have selected that this is a problem that needs solving; give it      presence.
  2. Propose      action offering specific details to show how the actions will help      alleviate the problem.
  3. Justify      your solution; the reasons why your audience should accept your proposal      and act on it.

This essay is NOT simply a persuasive essay on organ sale, trade, or donation. It is an argumentative proposal that offers a practical and justifiable solution to a problem related to organ donation.
