Practitioner Competencies
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
For each of the competencies listed below, please reflect back on the movie “Lars and the Real Girl”, and describe a scene/situation where the competency was used, or should have been used to help Lars and how.  This may mean that you have to rent and re-watch the movie.
Remember, we are concerned with how these competencies are used to specifically help others, and in this instance, Lars.  Lars also exhibits some of these competencies as traits, and in a few instances uses them himself as competencies to help others.  If you give an example using Lars, you must identify how he is using the competency to help someone else.  If you’d like a description of the competencies, please look at Chapter 5 of the “Best Practices” book – pp. 115 – 139 (or pp. 81-105 in the redacted version).
Each of your TYPEWRITTEN answers should be at least a paragraph in length.
