Introduction Syria went into a civil war in 2010 that made many of their nationals leave their country in search of stable living, working, and political environments. There were several host countries that were affected by the immigration of Syrian. South East Turkey borders the North West Syria, and it was one of the host countries that assisted these immigrants. Currently, Turkey has over 2.5 million immigrants, and it is only able to house 200,000 in their refugee camps. The rest of the immigrants interact and live within Turkey, and there have been great influence in the economy of Turkey. With over 2.3 million Syrian immigrants living freely and working in Turkey, it is essential to look at the effect these has on the Turkish Economy. There are several studies that have taken interest in the matter, and have provided qualitative and quantitative reports. It is also vital to note that the immigration was forced. The main purpose of this paper is to use the forced immigration as a natural experiment to evaluate the effects of Syrian immigration on the Gross Domestic product (GDP), inflation, and unemployment in Turkey
