After reading in your text about moral development as well as performing an internet search, consider the differences in moral development and reasoning in an individualistic society (i.e. United States) vs a collectivistic society (i.e. India or China). Discuss the following in a 2-3 page paper:
How is moral development shaped by the type of society a person is raised in?
How is moral reasoning shaped by the individualistic perspective found in countries like the United States?
How is moral reasoning shaped by the collectivistic perspective found in countries like India or China?
Create a scenario that must be solved using moral reason and then share how that scenario might be solved by a person from each of the different cultural perspectives.
Which perspective do you think is ideal? Or could it be somewhere in the middle? Support your conclusion.
