The city has conducted a survey that reported immunization rates for vaccines not given at birth are very low for all the populations served. The city is providing a grant that will allow the clinic to develop an outreach program to increase the immunization rate, including compliance with booster immunizations as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The grant specifies that interim reports must be submitted to the city public health officer after 18 months and 36 months.

What should your role as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Nurse Executive be in this situation? What objectives must be specified in the development of the program that will allow for an evaluation? What cultural considerations must be considered not only in the development and implementation of the program, but also in the evaluation process?
