Project goals and objectives should be differentiated. Each objective should begin with ONE action verb, and specifies the activity needed to achieve the desired goal. Goals are outcomes. Goals can be intangible and non-measurable, but objectives are defined in terms of tangible targets. Refer back to the Units 2 and 4 Assignments: Learning Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis. Assignment Details

Complete an implementation plan for your evidence-based project. The implementation plan template is a modification of the Implementation Plan Template document designed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ, 2018). All sections of the tool should be complete and should reflect what information has been learned from the previous assignments. Refer to the definitions of terms that precede the Implementation Plan Template.

The template should be preceded by an introduction to the implementation plan. Included in this introduction are explanations and or definitions of the elements contained in the implementation plan. Include a summary of the project’s goals, an overview of an interprofessional team, definitions of facilitators and barriers to implementation, project improvement, importance of using a stepwise progression of an implementation plan, value of good communication, importance of resources and effective ways to measure performance. You do not need to go into detail here, one or two sentences addressing the contents of the implementation plan is all that is necessary.

Include an introduction to your implementation plan and a summary- what the implementation plan has determined what your needs are moving forward with your EBP project. The MS Word document should be embedded into your paper between the introduction and the summary.

Unit 6 Discussion

One-Way ANOVA

In Unit 5, you developed your understanding of hypothesis testing of means by learning three types of t-tests. In this week’s discussion, you will expand your knowledge of testing means by comparing the means of more than two groups and using a one-way ANOVA test to analyze the results.

The Unit 6 Discussion will involve the following scenario:

Suppose an I/O psychologist wants to study the effects of music on productivity in the workplace. She randomly assigns treatments to certain sections within the building — some sections will hear no music while working (No_music in Excel spreadsheet), some will hear music with no choice of what is being played (Music_set in the Excel spreadsheet), and some will hear music with input as to what music is played (Music_choice in the Excel spreadsheet). Does the playing of music have a significant effect on workers’ productivity?

Using the Unit 6 Discussion Excel spreadsheet and the Unit 6 Discussion videos “One-Way ANOVA” and “One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc Tests” provided in the Unit 6 LiveBinder, you will need to do the following:

Step 1: Open the Unit 6 Discussion Excel spreadsheet to Sheet 1. Type your first name in the GREEN CELL and press Enter. The numbers should change once you press Enter. Take your mouse and highlight all columns of data and copy (CTRL + C), then open a new Excel workbook and paste by clicking Home > Paste Special and click the Values and number formats radio button (see Unit 6 Discussion video “One-Way ANOVA” for a demonstration).

Step 2: Save your Excel file on your computer.

Step 3: Highlight all three columns on Sheet 1 of your new Excel file. Using Excel, click Data > Data Analysis > ANOVA: Single Factor, run a one-way ANOVA on the three groups (see Unit 6 Discussion video “One-Way ANOVA” for a demonstration).

Step 4: Use the snipping tool to create an image of your ANOVA output and save the image on your computer.

Step 5: Create a side-by-side boxplots graph of the productivity values of the three music level groups to compare them visually. See Unit 6 Discussion video “One-Way ANOVA” for a demonstration.

Step 6: Use the snipping tool to create an image of your graph and save the image on your computer.

Step 7: Run a post-hoc analysis of your data using the One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc Tests. See Unit 6 Discussion video “One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc Tests” for a demonstration and help to interpret the results.

Step 8: Use the snipping tool to create an image of your One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc Tests results and save the image on your computer.

Step 9: Enter answers to the following questions directly in the Response box (you can copy/paste the questions and then type your answers under each one), inserting the snips you saved where indicated, and Attach your Excel file to your discussion response.

  1. What are the Ho and Ha for this study (be specific to the context of the study)?
  2. What is your independent variable? What is your dependent variable?
  3. How many levels of the independent variable are there?
  4. Why must you use a one-way ANOVA rather than an independent samples t-test to compare the mean productivity among the groups?
  5. Insert your ANOVA Excel output here.
  6. What is your F test statistic? What is your p-value? What is your decision regarding rejection? What is your conclusion in context?
  7. Insert your side-by-side boxplots here.
  8. Describe what you see in the graph. How do the three groups compare in terms of center and spread? Does it appear that mean productivity is significantly affected by music level? How does the graph illustrate your conclusion in part f?
  9. According to your decision and conclusion in part f, is a post-hoc analysis necessary? Why or why not?
