Psychoanalytic Theoretical Principles

Discussion 200 words

Aaron is a 6-year-old student who was referred to you for therapy to help with his behavior. He refuses to do any work at all. He also refuses to follow basic directions like “Go to your seat” or “Get in line for lunch.” He ignores all requests and spends the full day walking around the room, taking whatever he wants without permission. You do a case history and discover that he was removed from his parents’ custody repeatedly throughout his young life. His mother suffered from schizophrenia and she would refuse to take the children to school (or anywhere else) for weeks at a time. Consider this case from the perspective of one of the psychodynamic theorists. What might they consider to be the problem formulation? What interventions or techniques might they use in working with Aaron?

What training design and delivery method would be most useful for this program? Why?

In this assignment, which continues to build on last week’s assignment, you will create a mind map identifying the steps in the training process for a CRM program to help you understand the important role training plays in an organization. It further helps you understand the importance of training as you explore how training is designed, delivered, and measured for success.

Create a mind map for the CRM program you began working on in the Week 2 assignment.

  • Identify the five steps of an effective training program.
  • For each of the five steps, explain how these function at the following levels:
  • Organizational level
  • Job level
  • Personal level

Write a 875-word response in which speculate on the following:

  • How was the needs assessment conducted? How were the objectives for training set?
  • What training design and delivery method would be most useful for this program? Why?
  • Which training evaluation methods would you recommend to assess the success of this program?

Chapter 1 An Overview Of Psychology And Health

The author Sarafino, places common beliefs in the absence of illness as indicators of health in contrast with Antonovsky’s illness/wellness.

In Asian cultures, he suggests, health is defined as the “balance between self and nature and across the individual’s various roles in life.” The synergy between nature, self, and others can result in a positive state called health.

Discussion: Psychosocial Theory And Diverse Groups

There will be times when a social worker is presented with a case where they are not familiar with the surrounding psychosocial issues. Because social workers are on a continual journey in learning, it is important to read pertinent literature. This Discussion provides an opportunity to visit Walden Library and strengthen your skills in identifying and locating an empirical research article.

To prepare:

  • Select one of these three groups: (1)( an individual who is physically disabled.)
  • Review the Walden Library resources listed in the Learning Resources.
  • Then conduct a library search for an empirical study focused on one of the groups above and the unique psychosocial factors or issues a social worker should be aware of when working with that group.

  • Post the APA-style reference for the article you found in the library.
  • Describe four specific psychosocial factors that should be taken into account in order to understand the psychosocial context when working with the group you selected. (Two of these factors should be psychologically related and two of these factors should be socially related).
  • Identify and explain a psychosocial intervention that addresses one of the four specific psychosocial factors you described above.
  • Identify 1 to 2 outcomes you might measure if you were to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention.
  • Evaluate one advantage of using a psychosocial framework in social work practice with the group you chose.
