Analyze Case Study In Executive Summary

Executive Summary (case papers) instructions

one Executive Summary, identical in format, required for this class that you will prepare individually. Before explaining the parameters of this assignment, let me first explain what this assignment is NOT. This assignment does NOT involve summarizing the case you read for the week. In other words, your assignment is NOT to reduce a 20-page case into a 1,200-word summary. Instead, this assignment involves summarizing your analysis of the case you read.

The case will involve decision making—this is the crux of strategy. In these cases, individuals (directors, executives, managers, etc.) will need to make decisions (either a single decision or multiple decisions).

In some case, decisions will be clearer than in other cases. You should understand that there is no “right” answer to this case. As such, I will grade it based on the information that you present to support your recommendations.

Format Executive Summary submitted should include five sections 1. What is the key problem or challenge facing the firm that you will try to resolve 2. Your external analysis (the industry and economic environment, PESTEL/5 Forces) 3. Your internal analysis (the firm’s internal resources and capabilities, VRIO) 4. Two mutually exclusive alternatives that solve the problem, pros and cons of each 5.

Your justification for the alternative you have chosen Upload your paper to Blackboard. The Executive Summary is limited to one page in length, using a standardized format (12-pitch Times New Roman font, single spaced, 1 inch margins, no indentation and a blank line between paragraphs). Use additional headings as appropriate. The assignments must be turned in by 11:59 pm on Wednesday. I will not accept assignments turned in after the deadline. This is enforced since I release discussion questions right after this assignment deadline.

Think of the executive summary as an advance organizer for the reader. Obviously, it must be clear and concise. In business, one of the most common uses of an executive summary is as a part of a business plan. The executive summary in a business plan serves the same purposes as an executive summary in any other document – to summarize and to entice the reader to read the rest of the business plan. For this reason, the executive summary is often called the most important part of any document. If it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do, the document will be set aside unread.

e change based on Kotter’s eight (8) steps for leading change.

  • 1.  Read the article titled “The Perils and Pitfalls of Leading Change”.  Next, analyze the change that was implemented by Daniel  Oliveira.  Synthesize the change based on Kotter’s eight (8) steps for  leading change. Determine if Oliveira followed the Kotter model. Select  one (1) of the steps to assess and determine if Oliveira accomplished  this step. Why was this an important step? Comment on how following the  model may have made his change successful.

2.   Please respond to this post.

After  reading all the steps in the Kotter’s eight steps for change I think  that one of the steps that Oliveira needed to work on was step number 5  which is removing obstacles. He should have been continuously checking  for obstacles or people who was resisting the change and tried to  implement proactive actions to remove the barriers (Management Study  Guide, 2018). Oliveira had managers who refused to follow his change and  only did the changes when he was there to personally supervise or  implement the changes himself. Once he was off working in another  department the changes stopped. If the managers would have been on board  with the changes then the employees wouldn’t have been resistant to the  changes.  When the managers resisted the change then naturally the  employees were going to follow suit. I think that Oliveira should have  given the managers consequences for not following the change and this  would have shown them that he was serious about the changes that he  wanted to implement. He should have also tried to recruit people to help  him with the changes so that the other employees would have started  doing the changes.

If  he would have followed every step in the model I think that he would  have been successful with the changes. He started off good by creating  an urgency I think that he fell short on a couple of the steps such as  steep 2 which is forming a powerful guiding coalition. He needed someone  to help him enforce the changes.  He also needed to follow step 5 and 6  which was to remove obstacles and creating short-term wins. Once of the  disadvantages of the Kotter model is that skipping even a single step  could result in serious problems (Management Study Guide, 2018) and in  my opinion he skipped too many steps for it to succeed. If he would of  followed the model I believe that he would have been able to cut back on  the resistance and gotten everyone to do what he wanted to them to do  and the employees probably would of seen a difference with the changes  and when he introduced more changes they would have been happy to follow  along.

How would you decide when to confront this woman’s sin in counseling?

opic: McMinn discussed guidelines when confronting sin during a counseling experience, and the lectures reviewed some factors as well. Why can a sensitive Christian counselor not just automatically and quickly confront obvious sin in the life of the counselee? Of the cautions mentioned by the class sources, which ones do you think counselors most often overlook? Why? Now, consider the following case. What forms of confrontation do you think would work best in this scenario? Why did you answer as you did? 300 words and insert biblical content and 3 sources. You can use one of the below sources as well. Entwistle, D. N. (2010). Integrative approaches to psychology and Christianity (2nd ed.). Eugene, OR: Wipf and Stock. ISBN 9781556359446. McMinn, M. R. Case Study: Jean (pseudonym) was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. She reported having very little memory of her childhood. Her mother was severely depressed and, on several occasions throughout Jane’s early childhood, the mother spent several months at a time hospitalized for her depression. When her mother returned home, she would at times “lose control” and start beating on the children. Jean’s father left her mother when Jean was only three years old. Jean was eventually removed from the home and placed in foster care. She moved around from one foster care parent to another, and finally came to live with a pastor and his wife who raised her in a warm, loving family. Unfortunately, Jane started “looking for love in all the wrong places.” Jane became promiscuous and eventually got pregnant. This was a great disappointment to the pastor and his wife. Jane had been attending church regularly before the pregnancy and had made a profession of faith in Christ. She felt extremely guilty about the pregnancy. The pastor’s wife told Jean that she was extremely disappointed with her and that she was embarrassed to have her in her home. Not long thereafter, Jean secretly got an abortion. She then ran away with a young man to a hippie commune in California (during the late 60s). Jean is now 55 years old and has been in and out of counseling her entire life. Recently, she was referred for therapy following an attempted suicide. How would you decide when to confront this woman’s sin in counseling? What form or forms of confrontation should be used.
