Legal & Ethical Issues In Management Essay

Business ethics courses taught in colleges and universities are sometimes thought to be primarily about making students more ethical. But this is typically not what business ethics faculty regard as their primary task. Rather, business ethics faculty typically regard their job as one of helping students to understand the complex ethical issues managers must confront, best practices with respect to ethical management, and sound public policy regarding the relationship of business to society. Identify five specific ethical issues that 21st century ethical managers must confront. Which of the ethical perspectives described in this chapter seems best suited to resolve such ethical issues? Why?

Prepare a 600-700 word response in APA 6th ed. format. Your paper must include required readings and at least two external references. Also it will be put through turnitin.com so it must have references and not directly quoted from a source more than 15%.

Understanding and Coping with Change

Understanding and Coping with Change

Change is everywhere, but yet very few people seem to embrace the concept. We are for the most part creatures of habit and follow daily routines. When change occurs our activities and thought patterns are disrupted.

Write a 3-5 page APA formatted paper, using a minimum of two references, summarizing the internal and external factors contributing to an individual’s resistance to change. Describe a situation where you or someone you know was resistant to change as identified in one of following areas. Explain whether the resistance to change was caused by an internal or external factor.

  • self-interest
  • lack of understanding
  • lack of trust in management
  • differing assessments of the need for change
  • low tolerance for change

Using Kotters theory for change, provide a planned approach for overcoming that resistance (What will be done and how will you know that it has worked?).

Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.
