Exploring theories of nursing

You have spent six weeks exploring theories of nursing. These represent the “how” of what we do as nurses. This week we enter a higher level of thought and explore the “why” of what we do. Present a personal nursing philosophy. Apply what you have read throughout the course and explore the literature on nursing philosophy. While Fawcett was not a nursing theorist, she is a nursing philosopher and her Metaparadigm of Nursing approaches philosophy over theory. Once you have discussed your philosophy, identify a theoretical framework (not the middle-range theories but the underlying assumptions in that framework) that fits your philosophy. Compare and contrast your philosophy and the chosen framework. Describe a possible situation in which the framework may conflict or not fit your philosophy. While it is an important skill to be able to match a theory with a situation, it is also critical to understand when a theory or framework does not fit a situation.

Market Forces

The Governor of the State of New York recognizes that the economic
achievements of urbanized metropolitan areas can bring global economic
success to her administration. The first order of business is the creation of a
White Paper that discusses critical information and informs the reader on how
that could be accomplished. It should contain discussions on urban economics
paired with geographic, spatial, and social discussions. As a newly hired
analyst, the Governor’s Chief of Staff has asked you to start putting together a
research paper that discusses the benefits and problems related to urban
areas.
1. Such an undertaking is complex and takes volumes of books to even scratch
the surface, so wisely synthesize the issues beginning with why cities exist
and the process and importance of urbanization.
For this assignment on market forces, writings should be focused on the
benefits of urbanization, urban agglomeration, urban growth, and urban
migration.
2. Examine traditional and emerging urban issues taking into consideration
what would be your priorities.
3. No research would be complete without considering the job market and
job creation in urban spaces and how the government could help.
4. Discuss the centripetal forces of the system of cities that empower regional
growth.
5. Discuss the historical technological, geographic, or industrial development
and how knowledge of the past can guide future policies

World War II

consider three (3) of the following events:
• Treaty of Versailles
• Rise of fascism, militarism and imperialism
• Failure of the League of Nations
• Hitler and the Nazi Party
• The Lend Lease Act
• Japanese expansion and the bombing of Pearl Harbor
Based on your three selections, choose two (2) of the following and craft a response for your selections:
• Assess if the United States foreign policy during the 1930s helped to promote World War II. Could the United States have prevented the outbreak of World War II? If so, how? If not, why not?
• Explain if the United States, despite neutrality, aided the Allies against the Axis powers.
• Analyze if the use of atomic (nuclear) weapons to defeat enemies in war is a setback for democracy (President Truman’s decision to drop the atom bomb on Japan).

Game-winning move

Y‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍our objective is to create a game-winning move, not just evaluate other people’s moves. For this assignment, do NOT recommend a move that is identical or very similar to a real-life move made by your company. For example, don‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍t recommend that Tesla/Apple/Google/Uber/etc. invest in self-driving car technology or recommend that CVS acquire Aetna as those […]
