Once completed, click Submit and it provides the four letters that are your strengths in key areas. You may clickResults and the page describes your strengths and areas of need. After knowing your personality type, answer the following questions by providing examples to support your thoughts:

  • What is your four-letter typing result and what conclusions did you come to in terms of agreeing if it accurately describes your overall personality?
  • Knowing this information, how will it help you communicate with someone who has the “opposite” personality type as you? How will you adjust your personality to better communicate with another individual?
  • If you are a manager, how will this information about your staff members help you improve communication when providing instructions, directions, or presentations?
  • What leadership traits are your strengths and what areas will you need to develop to be an effective leader?
  • How will you motivate your staff if there is a mix of various personalities and each member may be motivated by different measures?
  • How will you take the results and work to improve communication methods in the workplace?

Immunity and the Common Cold

Immunity and the Common Cold

Humans have been plagued by disease throughout history and just about everyone has experienced the common cold at some point in time. During your life you will probably have more colds than any other type of illness. Humans have an amazing immune system that helps them fight foreign invaders, but sometimes the way your body fights these invaders causes unpleasant side effects that are often treated with over-the-counter medications.

You can learn more about the common cold at the following resource:

During the week address the following questions:

  1. What is the common cold?
  2. Should antibiotics be taken to treat a cold? Why, or why not?
  3. Why do humans not build immunity to the common cold?
  4. Would it be reasonable to expect that science will develop an immunization for the common cold in your lifetime? Why, or why not?
  5. You all have your own strategies for preventing or recovering from a cold. Please share your favorite strategy for fighting the common cold. Find and cite a source (reputable if possible) that either supports or disputes your favorite strategy.
  6. Later in the week, compare your cold fighting strategy to some described by your classmates.
    • Can you draw a relationship between the different strategies?
    • Do they have any commonalities?
    • How do they differ?

Describe steps a counselor should take if referral is not an option.

Should a counselor remain value-objective about controversial issues presented by a client (such as abortion, suicide, adultery, drug use, domestic violence, child abuse, etc.)? Some counselors might argue that they should not express their values or criticize their clients for these behaviors, while others would say that expressing moral judgment is appropriate.

Consider the information above and chapter 3 of the textbook. Write a 1,000-1,250-word paper addressing the following:

  1. Analyze the ethical implications of a counselor expressing their values to a client.
  2. Identify actions a counselor might take when confronted with clients they find difficult to treat due to differences in values/beliefs regarding one or more of the following issues: abortion, suicide, adultery, drug use, domestic violence, child abuse
  3. Identify factors that might lead a counselor to consider referring a client with any controversial issues to another counselor.
  4. Describe steps a counselor should take if referral is not an option.

Be sure to use the ACA and NAADAC codes of ethics as guidelines when constructing your paper.

Include three additional scholarly resources in your paper.
