Criterion-related validity: Create a hypothetical test based around the topic of Suicide Risk and identify 3 characteristics of appropriate, relevant and measureable criteria. Identify a criterion for which predictor scores could be compared. You are to design a criterion related validity study with identifying the specific 3 characteristics and identify if they are concurrent or predictive validity evidence and explain with specific details. For example, if the test was a Career Interest Test it would be based around criterion of Likes/Dislikes, Abilities/Skills, and Experience as the criterion and then go on from there to focus on whether concurrent or predictive, scoring and explanation. (this is an example only)Create your response into a word document using APA format with a minimum of 500-750-word count. (It might be easier to insert the criterion into a table format with the explanation in paragraph format below the inserted table however, your choice as to how to create your Suicide Risk Study). Include in text citations which will connect to the factual points from your sources, and include the reference citations at the end of the document. For the Assignment, some tips:· Start with researching symptoms or “things to look for” with Suicide Risk to figure out the three (3) characteristics you would be measuring in your assessment· They want to know how you will show Criterion Related Validity with the assessment you create.  The easiest way to do that is by finding an already established suicide risk assessment that has been proven valid and comparing the scores between the two assessments. You can search for one in the Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) and scroll through to read the review of it.  Review of validity will sometimes have its own paragraph, but you should also get that information from the “summary” at the end of the review.  It will state whether the test has good validity and reliability.  It will also state if it doesn’t.  You want to find a test that has proven validity. The idea here is if someone who is at high risk of suicide takes the suicide risk assessment you create AND ALSO takes thealready establishedsuicide risk assessment, they should score high on both.  If someone who is not suicidal takes your assessment and the already established assessment, they should score low on both.  This will show that there is criterion related validity.  You will know that there is an issue with your validity if someone who is at high risk of suicide takes your assessment and scores low, but scores high in the established assessment.  Same thing for someone not at risk – if they score high on your assessment and low on the established assessment, again, we know somethings wrong with your assessment’s validity.

Discuss the nuclear energy as a source of electricity

Hi, I am looking for someone to write an article on the nuclear energy as a source of electricity Paper must be at least 1000 words. Please, no plagiarized work! The period of the industrial revolution provided several technologies that required burning fossil fuels for them to work properly. In the modern world, most of the energy used in powering all the equipment emanates from fossil fuel combustion.

Fossil fuel energy is derived from oil, natural gas, and coal. These fuels are combusted to produce energy in the form of electricity for use. The burning of fossil fuels does have detrimental effects on the environment. Once burned, they release greenhouse gasses and other air pollutants into the atmosphere. Eventually, the continuous use of fossil fuels will eventually deplete its supply throughout the world. On the other hand, the use of renewable sources is a good alternative but its energy supply cannot meet the demand of the growing population and usage. In the interest of preserving the natural environment and consequently maintaining the fossil fuel supply globally, alternative methods of energy must be looked at. These alternatives must provide adequate electricity to meet the demand and minimize the damage to the natural environment.

Despite the negative image of nuclear energy as a source of electricity, the use of nuclear energy may be the most efficient and realistic source of meeting the ever-increasing demand for power globally. In today’s world, global warming is a major issue that affects several people, economies, animals and the entire society. Over the past years, Global warming has been rising because of the increase in its major contribution such as industrialization, fossil fuel burning, an increase in greenhouse gasses and increasing population (Nuclear Energy Institute, 2009, September).

For several years, arguments and debates have been raging on how to&nbsp.stop and reduce the effects of global warming.&nbsp.The ideas range from unplugging unused electronics, planting of more plants, carpooling among many others.&nbsp.

the history of winter olympic games

Compose a 500 words assignment on the history of winter olympic games. Needs to be plagiarism free!

The History of Winter Olympic Games Affiliation: Introduction The winter Olympic Games are the Olympic Games that happen in February during winter and are hosted in only those nations that experience winter in February. The games were officially started in 1924 and have been taking place every four years but in 1992, it started being alternated with the summer Olympic and was therefore held in 1994 instead of 1996. The Olympics games so far have over 15 games ranging from: figure skating, alpine skating, ice hockey, ski jumping, and freestyle skating among many others.

The nations that have participated are over 11 with the US leading in hosting over 4 of the games (Books Llc, 2010). World WarsThe Winter Olympic Games were disrupted by both World War 1 and World War 2. Other than the games being completely canceled because of the war and the plans being suspended, there were strained relations after the war between the nations that had been at war and their allies (Wickenheiser, 2009). The Olympic Games were feared to be held in some nations such as the Soviet Union after the war for fear of reaction of the enemies of the Soviet Union.

The Worlds Wars also led to world depression and hence after the wars, few nations were able to participate in the next winter Olympic Games as the rest lacked expense money. The participants even from the nations that attended were few. Doping and bribing controversiesDoping has been a headache to the organizers of this particular sport as with many other sports. The measures taken since 1967 have been to perform random drug tests on the participants and banning those found with positive results.

The most common doping drugs are the performance enhancers. The other controversy that has rocked these games is the bribing of the planning committee officials with expensive gifts in order for their countries to be selected to host the games. The most controversial and which saw 10 officials sent packing is the 2002 Salt Lake City, USA Olympics (Gerlach, 2004). PoliticsPolitics have always been a silent but present issue in these winter Olympic Games. Most nations still have cold war amongst themselves and they push them in the games.

Some nations use the winter Olympic Games as an opportunity to show off to the nations and those which have been successful in the number of medals use this as a way to express their powers such as the US. The nations that have always had a grudge against each other go to the extent of skipping the winter games when they take place in the enemy country. Even though the politics are silent and not expressed openly, it still affects the sole purpose of the games which is to bring the nations together (Cha, 2013).

ConclusionEven though the Winter Olympic Games has been rocked by controversies and mishaps, the games have been a success so far and the major success was derived from television broadcasting of these games to the whole world. The continual increase of nations participating and the number of participants in the many games has brought people together and increased economic and social cohesion and success amongst these nations (Toohey, 2007).
