In manufacture, lean principles ensure efficiency through the determination of the wants of the consumers and how there can be provided better services, cheaper services, and being time convenient.

Lean manufacturing brings about efficiency as there is the consideration of how work gets done in the manufacturing process. There are always several assumptions that are made on how work is done in the manufacturing process. This leads to a lack of reflection on the exact activities that are carried out in the manufacturing process (McCormick, 2002). In dealing with this to ensure efficiency, lean manufacture uses those that are not in the manufacturing process to observe the steps in the manufacturing process to ensure that the processes satisfy the needs of consumers (Naidu, Babu & Rajendra, 2006).

Lean management improves efficiency through the removal of inefficiencies and wastes. When there is the removal of the inefficiencies, the manufacturing process will be that which ensures that the process meets its goal of satisfaction of the wants of the consumers.

The UN peacekeeping operations are established with the objective of addressing the insecurity challenges affecting the population. The shift to the third generation peace-keeping operation has been attributed to the fact that the internal conflicts in Africa, as well as the Middle-east, are not a result of economic, territorial, or infrastructure threats. These operations are set up to address health, food, cultural, environment, economic, personal and political insecurity (Fen 283). The internal conflicts in Somalia are said to be attributed to poverty, hunger and political instability.

The traditional peacekeeping methods have been characterized by failure when applied in Africa and the Middle East. A good example was the attempts by the UN to resolve the conflict in Somalia in the ’90s. In the third generation peacekeeping operations, the UN employs both military and nonmilitary aspects to address the insecurity challenges. The military aspects include training of the police and the military forces of the state country instead of deploying foreign troops (Beebe 100). Military training also encompasses technology and infrastructure development. In other situations, a combined force of the police and the military personnel is established to address the pressing issues.

Other military aspects involve the maintaining and enforcement of the rule of law (Munson 211). This involves the training of the judicial system as well as the anti-corruption units on the maintenance of law and order. It also involves restoring peace by disarming the conflicting parties. In Somali, this has been applied to ensure that innocent civilians are not killed, yet the Al-Shabaab are disarmed and arrested. According to this Declaration, the British government supported the Zionist movement which demanded territory in Palestine exclusively for the Jews. This territory would provide all the legal and civil rights to the Jews. With the Balfour Declaration, the British government established a national home for the Jews without violating the rights of the existing non-Jews in Palestine or the rights of the Jews in any other country (Gelvin, 2005). Both the communities asserted their legal claim on Palestine.

While the Jews demanded that they have historical rights over the territory, the Arabs have claimed that they have inhabited Palestine for many centuries (Khater, 2010, p.143).It is only political stubbornness that is causing hindrance to peace between the Israelis and the Arabs. There has been already a proposal that dictates that the two sides should accept the division of the territory into two states.
