Discussion on stress in peoples lives.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on stress in peoples lives. In this regard, stress in people’s lives is leading to a loss of academic ambition, depression, and varied physical consequences in humans globally.

Nowadays, an individual at work confronts a number of challenges, from his tasks at workplace to his duties at home, etc (Boss & Mulligan, pp. 8-17). On the other hand, even a school-going child faces a number of issues concerning his academic requirements for family responsibilities, etc. In midst of all such challenges and in presence of various technologies to cater needs and requirements of humans, it is an observation that such scientific achievements have been unsuccessful in catering the emotional and psychological needs of human lives. Such failure is allowing the menace of stress to grow and become one of the most common risk factors of human deaths in the form of depression after deadly diseases such as cancer, AIDS, etc. around the globe (Pfeffer, pp. xvii).

In the result, a huge number of experts and organizations are putting efforts to identify and analyze the causes and effects of stress (Pfeffer, pp. 108) that has become a global issue in a rapid manner. One of the major factors of such a huge popularity of stress in health, as well as nonprofessional fields, is its huge scope that does not only affect the individual, but people around the individual also confront the adverse consequences physically, socially, and physiologically as well. In terms of causes, experts have identified the underlying causes of stress, ‘stressors’ (Biegel, pp. 28) that do allow the victims to use their will while controlling such individuals with the help of chemical inequalities in the body.

In specific, psychologists (Barlow, pp. 169) believe that situations are the most fundamental causes of stress that result in the pressure on individuals causing them to shift from normal status to the abnormal one. Some experts believe that&nbsp.situations can exist in the form of people as well that often put pressure on individuals in different situations and at different places, such as schools, homes, workplaces, etc.

Discuss time to play: early childhood education.

Write 9 pages thesis on the topic time to play: early childhood education. This paper explores the value of play and creativity and how these affect the development of children in the early years. It aims to help educators understand that play is an effective tool for learning and developing creativity, which is one essential trait and skill children need to have and hone.

Creativity has been found to be something that sets an individual apart from the rest. With the current globalization trends, creativity is fast becoming in demand and people who manifest creative skills and traits usually advance further than their non-creative peers. Creativity may be defined in a myriad of ways. Duffy (1998) described the abilities exhibited by creative people as “seeing things in fresh ways. learning from past experience and relating this to new situations. thinking along unorthodox lines and breaking barriers. using non-traditional approaches to solving problems. going further than the information given. creating something unique and original. “ (May, 2007, pp. 101-102).

For young children, play and creativity are inextricably related. When children are deep into their play, all things are possible. There is a thin line between reality and fantasy, and in children’s minds, they are fused. This idea is consistent with Malaguzzi’s suggestion that ‘reason and dream’ are things that can, and should belong together (May, 2007).

People have conceptualized theories of play, among them, Piaget, who categorized levels of play as functional, symbolic and games with rules (May, 2007). Consistent with his theories in cognitive development, the levels of play follow the pattern from concrete thinking to abstract thinking (Piaget & Inhelder, 1969). Functional or practice play involves the use of materials or toys. Then they move on to symbolic play wherein the materials may be imagined to be something else other than what it stands for or how it is normally used. Games with rules play according to rules they may have made up themselves or generally agreed on when playing the game (Brewer, 2001). Bruce (1991) refined Piaget’s play levels as exploratory, representational and free-flow play.&nbsp. She describes the free-flow play as the child being immersed in his ideas, thoughts, feelings, and relationships during the play session, and it is in this state of play that he comes up with creativity.&nbsp.

financial statements ratio analysis.

Compose a 1000 words assignment on financial statements ratio analysis. Needs to be plagiarism free!

The company has a relatively high turnover of more than one. A ratio of more than one means the net sales are more than the total fixed assets. This means that one dollar of fixed asset invested generates more than on dollar of sales. However, this ability decreased across the period.

Current ratio highlights the capability of a company to meet its current obligations as they become due. A ratio of less than one as in the case of the company implies that the company has more obligations than the assets hence cannot meet them.

In 2013 the ability increased but still does not satisfy all the obligations.

Debt to total assets ratio shows the portion of the company’s financing provided by the creditors that is it measures a company’s financial leverage. From the calculation above the company has more assets than liabilities hence it is less risky since it has a ratio of close to 0.5 implying that it has liabilities of close to 50% of its total assets. Across the period the percentage increased from 56% to 63% meaning it increased its liabilities.

Return on equity illustrates the company’s ability to generate profit or return from its shareholders’ investments. It therefore shows how efficient a company uses the shareholder money. From the ratio above the company is a bit efficient in using the shareholders’ money but the efficiency decreased in 2013 from 36% to 28%.

With regards to the profit margin, the company’s ability to convert sales into profit is lower than that of the industry. Accounts receivable turnover shows that the number of times a company collects its receivables is lower than that of the company.

Further, its fixed asset turnover is also lower than that of the industry implying that it uses its fixed assets less effectively.
