gendered inequality and social stratification from an anthropological perspective.

Write 6 pages thesis on the topic gendered inequality and social stratification from an anthropological perspective. Wives have little or no decision-making power in the male-dominated marriages in Mali. This is seen even when it comes to her reproductive health as well as the children. Their reproductive health issues are not properly addressed. The few midwives most of whom are not fully qualified for the position evidence this. The fact that there are so many women giving birth means that family planning has not been entirely embraced. Unplanned pregnancies and having too many children that cannot be adequately taken care of puts a strain on the lives of these women (David 78-83).

For instance, in the case of Monique, she lost two children before they had reached the age of five. The Malian Minianka women are highly disadvantaged when it comes to the division of labor as they do a lot of household unpaid work as well as take care of the sick family members.

The women in Mali are hardworking, always trying to multi-task without complaining. They do not openly show how much they are in pain, which is evidenced in the book with Monique enduring the painful cavities and medicating herself during her pregnancy instead of seeking medical attention.

The men are dominating and not afraid to show off their accomplishments and hard work. According to the book, Henri Traoré, who was the doctor at the clinic talked about how many clients he helped birth and how much they would always struggle to find him. He complains about how he is worn out from having a lot of work. Earlier in the book, Francois goes on to show the author and her husband around his impressive garden and what he has done with it. Later on, there is an account of how he worked on the garden with his bare hands. The men are also emotionally withdrawn based on their reactions to the death of Monique despite them being close to her. This is compared to women.

Monique took care of her and her husband’s family, as well as her own yet her husband, would still not allow her to have anything from his huge garden. She could not ask for a divorce because it would mean that the children would have to remain with the husband, which she could not bear. This shows how much little control the women have even when it comes to their own children.

Discussion on digital media create new public spheres and increasingly alter our political life

I need some assistance with these assignment. digital media create new public spheres and increasingly alter our political life Thank you in advance for the help! The prior role of journalism and mass media communication is to form appropriate public relations in the form of presenting different studies efficiently. It can be inferred that with the increasing use of the internet and digital communication, the societal life of the inhabitants has been largely influenced. In this regard, digital mass communication in the current scenario is becoming an integral part of the life of the people and likewise, the societies are identified to be remaining highly reliant on this particular communication mean (Eribo & Tanjong, 2002. Aggarwal & Gupta, 2001).

Notably, the use of digital media in this modern-day context lays in communicating with other people for varied reasons. It is to be affirmed that the messages, which are communicated through digital media, not only pursue any sort of agenda to the public but also assemble their opinions towards reaching a valid conclusion. Besides, digital media also helps the community members to acquire a better idea about the prevalent societal problems and likewise take informed decisions to address and mitigate these problems. It can be apparently observed that journalism, radio, newspapers, magazines, television, blogs, websites, mobile apps, and social media are the key tools based on which the people of this modern-day context are interconnected with each other. In this regard, with the diversification and significant growth of mass media, the scope of communication has been expanded towards the utilization of digital applications to a considerable extent (Eribo & Tanjong, 2002. Aggarwal & Gupta, 2001).

In this present-day context, digital media has evolved as a rich and diversified source of information and led people no longer dependent on a single information source, which raised flexibility in making greater choices between different media. Moreover, advancement in digital media also reduces the context of omnipresence and people are no longer been isolated as compared to others. This ensures forming mutual corporation between the public and private corporations by forming a space for the public sphere. Likewise, the reliability and speediness of the flow of key political decisions in form of news are easily been spread socially (Eribo & Tanjong, 2002. Aggarwal & Gupta, 2001).

Discuss the single-sex education.

Write 5 pages thesis on the topic the single-sex education. Several major studies have been conducted in order to come to the definite conclusion – whether single-sex education is beneficial and brings better educational results. However, there is still no single answer as to the prevalence of single-sex education and thus it will be interesting to look at what advantages and disadvantages this kind of education gives to its participants (students).

It should be noted, that the difficulty of distinguishing the principal advantages and disadvantages of single-sex education is in the fact, the single-sex classes are formed with various aims and have various implications. the researches conducted in this area, usually lack uniformity. this is why the basis for the single-sex education in this work will be taken as the conscious choice of parents to teach their children separately from the children of the opposite sex. this will give broader grounds for seeing the disadvantages of this kind of education.

Single-sex education is ambiguous area, and besides its advantages it also possesses disadvantages, as any other notion. I suppose that through all the advantages single sex-education gives, it still becomes the basis for gender stereotyping and lacks socializing, which is essential for children besides providing them with scientific knowledge.

One of the advantages which are implied when a girl or a boy is sent to a single-sex class is that he (she) will be better prepared for the different roles men and women play in the adult society. These differences touch the roles, the sexual and social behavior which girls and boys should display when adults. In these cases, it appears, boys and girls were separated because of assumptions about their physical abilities and characteristics, their social and personal functioning, or beliefs held by adults regarding “appropriate” interaction among or between the sexes. However, in connection with this, the question appears – whether such type of education is a kind of sexual discrimination and should it damage natural behavioral patterns which both girls and boys should have in the adult society?&nbsp.&nbsp.
