Discussion on political and legal influences of wireless electricity.

Compose a 2500 words assignment on the political and legal influences of wireless electricity. Needs to be plagiarism free! Due to financial difficulty, Tesla decided to enter into a business partnership with George Westinghouse in 1886 (Scrivener, 2013). Eventually, Tesla accepted the US$1 million plus $1.00 worth of royalties for each horsepower of electricity generated to deal with the Westinghouse Company. Through the help of the Westinghouse Company, Tesla managed to build the 1st hydroelectric alternating current (AC) system at Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada back in 1895 (Scrivener, 2013. Tufts & Fairbanks, 2011).

It was in 1899 when Tesla focused on developing wireless electricity in Colorado (Scrivener, 2013. Anderson, 2007: 29). Even though Tesla managed to prove the feasibility of his idea with regards to the construction of a wireless power system, Tesla faced a serious financial problem when his financier John Jacob Astor died when the Titanic sank in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (Weyn, 2011: 328). Tesla died on the 12th of January 1943 as a single person with no heirs. Therefore, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took hold of all of Tesla’s documents (Scrivener, 2013. Gayen, 2012).

In general, wireless electricity is all about being able to transmit electrical current without the use of any forms of man-made conductors like wires. Among few good examples of wireless electricity include power transmission that is carried out through the use of “direct induction” and “resonant magnetic induction” or “electromagnetic radiation” which often comes in the form of “lasers” and/or “microwaves” (Landis, 1994). In 2007, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) made a confirmation that it is possible to transfer wireless electricity using a technology called the “resonant power transfer” (Wilson, 2014). In relation to the continuous developments on wireless electricity, this essay will purposely discuss the political and legal factors that may have contributed to its success and/or failure.

Discussion on Nations and Nationalism.

Need help with my writing homework on Nations and Nationalism. Write a 2250 word paper answering; The specificity of nationalism, that which distinguishes nationality from other types of identity, derives from the fact that nationalism locates the source of individual identity within a “people”, which for its part has been acknowledged as the bearer of sovereignty, the central object of loyalty, and the basis of collective solidarity. The foundation of nationalism, argued Liah Greenfeld (1992), without which no nationalism is possible, is an idea. nationalism is a particular perspective or a style of thought and that the idea of the nation lies in it core. (p. 3-4)

Scholars are at odds as to when did nationalism emerge. However, they are in unison in saying that it started in Europe. For instance, there are those who argue that nationalism came out of Britain in the sixteenth century. There are those who believe such as Andrew Vincent (2002), that nationalism’s groundwork was established during the French and American revolutions. (p. 46) Nonetheless, the concept has signified the beginning of modernity, corresponding with the growth and modernization of states. This does not mean, however, that there were no instances of group loyalty and allegiance in the past. They were not simply considered nationalist as we understand the term today.

The membership of an individual in a country is not a voluntary issue, though some times it is said to be voluntary. Nationalism is involuntary when a member of a country is born in a particular nation. It was not a choice to be born there, so it is involuntary. People who decide to change their citizenship and get that of another country are voluntarily members of their country of choice. This argument has become significant when we talk about ability to consider and choose between alternatives, which “entitle one to decide what was best for oneself and was the basis for the recognition of the autonomy&nbsp.of the individual conscience and principle of civic liberty.

Many people do not understand the diversity of the fire inspector position and the training requirements needed to be successful. For this assignment, you will interview an active fire inspector or fire marshal. Ask specific questions about the duties and scope of the fire inspector, what training was needed, daily schedule, most difficult violation to enforce.
Note: Contacts for your local fire department can generally be found via the Internet or on your city’s or town’s government website. Other city public safety organizations frequently communicate so local law enforcement, public health, or the emergency medical services may have the number as well. Additionally, many organizations now have social media accounts of all types.
Prepare a minimum of six questions for this interview. After you conduct your interview, compile your research in an essay that focuses on the need for qualified and certified inspectors. Make sure to include a paragraph about the topics and interviewee, and a bulleted list of questions that were asked along with the interviewee’s responses.
Your report should include the following elements.
An outline of the responsibilities of the fire inspector. Be sure to describe why it is important to have properly trained fire inspectors.
Explain what professional qualifications and standards are required in their position and their importance.
Compare and contrast the training and certification from the interview with national standards.
Discuss the allied organizations with which they work.
Summarize what you learned in your interview.
Your submission should be two pages in length. This does not include the optional cover page and required references page. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary. A minimum of two references are required for this assignment.

The Buffalo Bisons are a Triple A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Players on this team are one level below the Major Leagues where salaries can be huge. In the early days of the team’s most recent incarnation, sell outs were very common. Filling almost 20,000 seats was fairly easy in the early 90’s when the stadium was still new and the team was a perennial contender. In recent years the selling effort has become more difficult. Typical attendance is about 8,000 per game. (The following information is a fictional, but realistic, account of the sales plan used by the Bisons.)
The VP of Operations, Michael Salamone, wants to design a sales incentive plan that will reinvigorate the fan base for the Bisons. He recognizes several realities:
Three staff members serve as full-time sales agents. They have two major jobs:
Sell tickets to games. Because the Bisons had a weak team last year, projections are that it will be difficult to exceed an average of 14,000 seats no matter what the plan design is. Further, architecture of the stadium makes sales above 12,000 more challenging because the seats are not as desirable. If last year is any indication, fans will buy less expensive seats, then switch to premium seats that are unoccupied after the game begins. For PR reasons, staff look the other way when Page 540this occurs, unless late-arriving fans find their seats occupied. The goal for Mike Salamone is to focus on sale of premium seats, thus reducing the “seat shifting” by fans buying standard and bleacher seats. Statistics for last year are as follows:
Sell advertising—Advertising dollars come from placement of product information throughout the stadium, including on billboards, outfield fences, scoreboards, even dugout roofs. The dollar amount sold last year was $908,013.
Increases in advertising sales are dependent on team performance. Team performance drives ticket sales. In turn, advertising depends on number of seats sold.
The three staff members are heavily dependent on the total administrative team (7 other individuals) for ancillary activities in the selling event (e.g., they send out brochures, answer phone queries, provide follow-up information after the initial sales contact, etc.). Mike Salamone wants to have a simple plan for advertising sales that rewards the total group yet still motivates the three sales staff.
QUESTIONS:
Of the above information, what is most important in your design of a sales incentive plan for the three sales staff? How does this information affect your plan design?
Your book talks about unit rate plans. Which of these types of plan would you use for sales of tickets? Which plan might be appropriate for sales of advertising? Why?
What factors influence the dollar amount you can pay for increases in ticket sales?
