DiscussHow to Solve College Dropout.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on How to Solve College Dropout. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Looking at the lives of our parents, siblings, and friends who have gone through college in comparison with them who have not gone through the same, the difference is very open with them who have gone through college successfully showing better living state, confidence, and responsibility. This, therefore, makes it clear that but a good background is an important determinant of getting a well-paying job and working effectively. This paper will discuss what college dropout entails and how this problem can be addressed.

Discussion

There is a lot of negative outcome of dropping out of college. A friend of mine dropped out of college in his second year of study so that he can pursue his newly started business venture since as he claimed his friends were making good money out of it. His business never really picked well and he ended up being married. To date, he has been wishing to get back but he has many responsibilities that he cannot make it. Having said this, it is also important to state that among many sad issues the current society is facing, the most saddening is turning out to be the rising rates of college dropout in our colleges and universities. Many reasons have been cited or attributed to this matter but in most cases, it is narrowed down to poor or unstable academic performance, the wrong choice of course as well as monetary problems.

To begin with, the main point in making learning effective is to have the ability to study. This means that performing poorly in academics is the leading or even main reason which makes most of the students to quit their college studies. Most of them after being admitted to either a college or a university tend to feel overconfident since they performed well in their A level (Louis 6). They feel as if already they are the best students forgetting that they have met with other best performers, resulting in not being so serious in their studies and therefore leading to negative consequences they never anticipated. The method of learning differs with every level of education and so high school is obviously different from college which means for them who cannot adapt to the new system life becomes hard for them and in the end, they don’t achieve the expected results which may force them to drop out of college (Rumberger 10).

Assignment 2: RA—Cultural Identity Paper

For assistance in creating your genogram, refer to the following links:http://genogramanalytics.com/examples_genograms.htmlhttp://www.ehow.com/how_6947806_create-genograms.htmlDescribe how you learned about your heritage and family rituals, what growing up was like, relevant demographics, family-held worldviews, and familial experiences with oppression.Explain how these issues have affected you and how your experiences affect how you interact with other groups.Select the most appropriate model of identity development for your primary cultural identity from your course textbook, Robinson-Wood (2013), and outline it clearly in your paper.Using that model, citing your book or other sources, and using the multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills survey (MAKSS) resultsfrom Module 1 (or you may retake it), determine at what stage you are in your personal identity development. You need not give the actual multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills survey (MAKSS) results; just refer to them. Describe traits and behaviors you see in yourself that you used in your self-assessment.Explain what happened in your past that moved you, or allowed you to move, from one stage to the next to get you where you are today.Using the insight from Robinson-Wood (2013) or additional sources you identify regarding your selected model of identity development, describe what needs to happen to move you to the next stage of development. What will you do to bring about that next stage of development?Describe what you will do to move to the highest levels of identity development and integration.Create a 6–page paper in a Microsoft Word document written in APA format. Utilize at least four scholarly sources. For other instructions I am African American and attended baptist church as religion.

Discuss characteristics and uses of lenses

I need some assistance with these assignment. characteristics and uses of lenses Thank you in advance for the help! Refraction means the change of direction of propagation due to the change in the medium. If the medium is fast and light enters a slow medium, then refraction occurs. The light rays bend towards the normal to the boundary between the fast and the slow media through refraction. In addition to these types of lenses, other types can also refract radiations other than the visible light. Examples of such include microwave lenses and acoustic lenses.

Lenses occur in various forms. The main difference between one type of lens and the other is the shape and the materials used to make the lenses. A converging lens is one of the types of lenses. These lenses cause rays that are parallel to come to a focus and produce a real image. They are also called positive lenses. The converging lens is always curved on both sides to enable the light rays coming out of it to come together at a point. The point where all the light rays meet or converge is called the focal point. If the image is outside the focal point, the image is always real and inverted. When the image is inside the focal point, the image then becomes virtual and upright. Convergent lenses are used in telescopes and binoculars to focus distant light (Milton and Adrian, 85).

Another type of lens is the diverging lens. Diverging lenses are those that cause a beam of light to diverge after refraction. They are also called negative lenses. These types of lenses have a negative focal length (Milton and Adrian, 109). Divergent lenses have outer surfaces that curve inwards hence making the light rays curve outward. The negative lenses work by diverging parallel beams of light and form a virtformingimage by extending light traces that are passingpasse the lens into a focal point behind the lens. The divergent lenses have a minimum of one concave surface. They are also thinner at the edges. When a negative lens is placed between the object and the eye, it reduces&nbsp.the object’s apparent size by forming a fake image, implying that it does not form a real and authentic image.
