Sleep Journal Reflection

Assignment InstructionsSleep Journal and Reflection ProjectDuring our forum in Week 5, we are discussing dreams. The meaning, origin, and analysis of dreams have fascinated psychologists since the inception of the field of psychology. Sigmund Freud, often referred to as the father of psychology, focused a great deal of his theoretical energy on trying to understand and interpret dreams.Contemporary psychologists are beginning to recognize the interconnectivity of human physiology and psychology in a way not previously understood. This is in part because of new interest in holistic health and in part because of brain/body connections we are now able to see and understand for the first time due to enhanced technology. Yoga, mindfulness, healthy eating, meditation, holistic health – all of these practices are gaining more traction in mainstream society and among psychological circles as we recognize how the mind and body work together. In light of this growing area of interest in psychology, for this assignment you will maintain a sleep/dream journal during weeks 3 and 4, and complete an analysis and reflection on your experience in a summary reflection paper in week 5.Specifically, for this assignment you will:Keep a sleep/dream journal for at least 10 days throughout Weeks 3 and 4. Designer’s Baby Assignment

I have attached a link for a video below that needs to be watched before you answer the 4 questions. After you watch the video, please answer the following questions in an enumerated list:1) Given that scientists can edit physical attributes, they can alter psychological ones as well. How will this new power affect humanity?2) Because extraversion and neuroticism have 2 of the highest known heritability levels, scientists could more easily edit the genome to impact these two traits. What are some of the personality traits you think we should use this technology to change? Are we gods now?3) In this piece, Jennifer Kahn discusses the use of genome editing to develop disease-resistant mosquitoes. These bugs could knock diseases such as malaria and Zika. This sounds so cool, right? What about the development of a mental-illness-resistant human being? Does that sound as cool? Could it possibly have any negative drawbacks? Explain.4) Do you see any connections between this technology and, say, Hitler’s ‘final solution’ which he attempted between 1933 and 1945? Explain.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI_OhvOumT0

Ethical Issues in Organizational Assessment

Ethical issues are of particular concern in organizational assessments and OD interventions. Currently, there is no ethical standard established for this field. Many view this responsibility as being shared by the client and the consultant. This suggests that there is a need for establishing a code of ethical conduct for the profession, incorporating cultural differences in a code of ethics, and including cross-cultural ethics training for practitioners.Based on your analysis of the articles, address the following:What ethical considerations do the articles you have researched bring to mind? Give examples from your own experience or from current events. What are the ethical implications of receiving unsolicited off-the-record information as part of an organizational assessment? How should the OD practitioner deal with these implications?OD is a field of practice and not a “profession.” Therefore, it does not yet have a code of ethics. What are the three to five ethical principles that you believe an OD practitioner should follow? Provide appropriate justification for your answer.Write a 2-page essay in Word format.
