Reply to:ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopment disorder in children. This disorder is usually diagnosed during childhood and last throughout adulthood. With this disorder the individual may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, and being overly active. At times children are diagnosis with this disorder due to behavioral problems in a school setting.. Thy may have a hard time sitting in class and following directions. There are also times when you can se this disorder effecting a child’s grades in school due to them not being able to focus during learning time. The cause of ADHD is fully unknown but it has shown that it can be genetic. Also brain injury, smoking while pregnant, the pregnant mother being around lead, low birth weight, and premature deliveries can also lead to a child having ADHD. ADND is usually treated with a combination of behavioral therapy and medication. Therapy and educating the parents is usually tried first before medication therapy.
