Psychology Assignment

Why choose one assessment method over another? What might be the challenges of the assessment method you chose? There are a variety of factors to consider when selecting an assessment method. What might be the benefits of an essay test over a multiple-choice test? Are you evaluating a student’s ability to retain facts or apply concepts and principles? These are only a few of the possible areas of assessment you might choose when selecting an assessment method. In this week’s Assignment, you will add an example of some methods of testing to your Teaching Portfolio. Consider the strategies discussed this week as you develop your exam and prepare the correct responses. For this Teaching Portfolio Assignment, review and study this week’s Learning Resources, including Griggs’s Psychology: A Concise Introduction textbook to help in the selection of your assignment topic. Select a new topic or use the topic you selected in Week 4 as the focus of an exam that you will design for “your” introductory psychology class.Assignment (5 pages, APA format where appropriate)Your exam must include the following:An explanation of the topic you selected, referencing the chapter in the Griggs Psychology: A Concise Introduction textbook you consultedFive multiple-choice questions (identify the correct answer with boldface type)Three fill-in the blank prompts (include the correct response in boldface type following the question)One essay question (include, in boldface type, a list of elements that you will be looking for as you grade).A determination of points for each of your questions and a calculation of the percentage for each question of the total 100% available. For example, if your multiple-choice questions are worth 10 points each and there are 100 points available in the test, one multiple-choice question is worth 10/100 = 0.10, or 10% of the total 100%.Submit your Assignment by Day 7 of Week 6.

The Case of Wendy

The Case of WendyAfter viewing The Case of Wendy and reading the concepts presented in the Sue textbook on microaggressions, prepare a posting that addresses the following:Review Lisa’s (the counselor’s) interactions with Wendy and her supervisor. Identify at least two interactions that could be considered microaggressions. Now imagine you are Lisa; how would you approach Wendy’s concerns about working in a system dominated by mainstream values and ideals?Discuss your experiences with respect to a time when you experienced a microaggression related to your skin color, gender, or social class, or a time when you have caught yourself as the aggressor with a person of color, a woman, or a person of a lower social class. How did you handle it at the time? How would you handle it now if a microaggression occurs in a counseling relationship?

Urine is viewed as a waste product excreted from the body after a short time in the bladder. However, the quality and composition of urine have future implications and should inform an individual of the next cause of action. Barasch et al. (2018) indicate that the physical characteristics of urine can be an essential element in informing the body’s wellness. That means assessing the urine pH is critical in maintaining the bladder’s health. Therefore, the physical characteristics of urine can report the malfunctions in the kidney, which should then trigger a medical examination to improve its well-being.The role of urine microbiota in the quality and composition of urine is a topic of concern. According to Barasch et al. (2018), is concerned of whether pathological changes in the microbiota can affect the quality of urine and subsequent bladder infections. From my experience, the urinary system has the sole purpose of excreting urine. There has never been a concern on whether the quality of urine can talk about body wellness. Therefore, is it right to use the physical characteristics of urine to dictate the foods and drinks we take since urine is based on what people eat and drink?ReferencesBarasch, J., Bavendam, T., Birder, L., Buffington, T., Campeau, L., & Dmochowski, R. et al.
