&nbsp.&nbsp.The need for equality among all citizens in the United States has been addressed by the 13th, then 14th, and the 15th Amendment. A century after the three were issued, there were still strong discriminations lingering in the country.&nbsp. In some counties, it can be seen that regardless of the Declaration of Independence, stating that “all men are created equal,” the laws still favor one group of people over others (Wright, 2005). Legislatures that passed on Black Codes cut off the rights and privileges of the African Americans. The persistence of the Jim Crow laws, which placed more excellent favor to whites over blacks, caused the rift to become significant enough that the equality of all men under the law was never realized for a very long time (Loevy, 1997). The years preceding the 1960’s showed that many African Americans still did not enjoy equal rights that they were supposed to have, and segregation in facilities are documented in detail (Skog, 2007). Signage was hung or posted to make sure that whites and the minorities were separated correctly. These segregations also showed the differences between the services offered to the two groups of peoples, with the whites having as much as ten times better services than those given to African Americans (Wright, 2005). Suppose it were not for the rise of civil rights activists such as Fannie Lou Hamer. In that case, there might not have been drastic changes in the laws regarding discriminations, particularly in African Americans’ treatment.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964

In 1957, a proposed draft of the Civil Rights Act was formed to study racial discrimination increasing in the country. The Civil Rights Commission hoped that by doing so, they could generate enough data to add further arguments for the civil rights supporters and succeeding legislative fights (Loevy, 1997). The draft also adds the freedom fighters’ idea that the need for changes within the dominant society must be initiated. The intervention must come from the United States government. Such a move would not only ensure the proper implementation of the law but also entirely end the violations being done against blacks in the southern parts of the state (Loevy, 1997).

Week 8 Research Paper: Server Virtualization

Week 8 Research Paper: Server Virtualization

You have read about server virtualization and cloud computing in chapter 6 of your textbook. For your written assignment this week, complete a case study of the organization you work for (use a hypothetical or “other” organization if more applicable) that will address the following prompts:

• Describe the organization’s environment, and evaluate its preparedness for virtualization.

• Explain Microsoft (or another product) licensing for virtualized environments.

• Recommend a configuration for shared storage; make sure to discuss the need for high availability and redundancy for virtualization for the organization.

• Explain Windows Azure capabilities for virtual machines and managing a hybrid cloud, including Windows Azure’s Internet as a Service (IaaS) and storage capabilities

Make a recommendation for cloud computer use in the organization, including a justification for your recommendations.

Submit your research paper as a single document. Your paper should meet the following requirements:

• Be approximately 2-4 pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.

• Follow APA6 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.

• Support your answers with the readings from the course and at least two scholarly journal articles to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. The UC Library is a great place to find resources.

• Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing.

Note:

1) 2- 4 Pages in length research paper

2) References: latest references from last 3 years ((four referneces)

Compose a 2000 words assignment on crime and technology: (criminology degree level): is regulation by technology now more influential than regulation by the law.

Compose a 2000 words assignment on crime and technology: (criminology degree level): is regulation by technology now more influential than regulation by the law. Needs to be plagiarism free! This is linked to the exponential expanding e-commerce and the increase in the number of people using internet across the world. “The number of organized crimes and other individual crimes are mainly widening the exploitation of the exploitation of the technological vulnerable individuals who depends on the online for the storage of important financial, intellectual property and other valuable information” (Grabosky et al, 2001 p.37). In the view of the above, criminology has to respond very fast with respect to the investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes. One of the most important part of criminology is the investigation of the crimes. A criminal investigation can be defined as the official and deliberate effort to reveal information about a crime (Wall, 200, p. 3). This is therefore a process that has the objectives of revealing who committed a crime and why the person committed the crime. This is important since it enables the crime detectors in prosecution and hence discourages crimes within our society. Investigation and management of crimes in general has however taken a shift from the traditional laws that discourage crimes to the use of technology to investigate, detect and prosecute crimes or prevent the occurrences of crimes. The use of technology in crime prevention is becoming popular than the use of stringent laws that prevent crimes because of the dynamicity and the complexity of the crimes generate by the new technology. In this context, some crimes go undetected and hence the perpetrators are not prosecuted yet the crimes often result into serious losses of property. The new technology has also moved faster than the law makers and hence certain crimes are not defined by the law and hence it is difficult to prevent such crimes by enforcing the existing laws and hence the technology has to be used to prevent such crimes. Criminal justice technological change just like in other areas of public interest and other private endeavors has been given priority in most governments (Caputo, 2007, p.37). The system of work by the different police agencies, community groups, other correlation institutions, court systems as well as all the institutions that collectively form and either directly or indirectly are involved in crime and justice are currently intertwined in a framework of technological change. The revolution rate in this field is moving at a faster rate such that a breakthrough technology of yesterday for example is looked as a common place today. For example, there are currently bullet proof jackets for the police officers, Routine monitoring through electronic means as probation condition, the incidences of crime can easily be monitored by the communities with sophisticated computers and effective methods that are used to administer health care to prisoners. Understanding the development of criminal justice technology is very important in our understanding of the current “challenges that are faced by the police and other law enforcement agencies” (Bradley, 2004, p.38). The history of its implementation is also important in understanding the problem of fragmentation during the past era.

submit a 500 words paper on the topic Unisys Credit Problems.

Hi, need to submit a 500 words paper on the topic Unisys Credit Problems. Unisys Credit Problems due Unisys Credit Problems The scenario in which Unisys finds itself is one where it might be forced to fall short of providing its services to its main client, the U.S government. Unisys has been enjoying large lucrative contracts from the government to provide IT services. This is in danger since the company will soon find it difficult to raise the finance required to meet the same. This has been caused due to the economic meltdown which has caused instability in the value of bonds, letters of credit and foreign exchange derivatives. The amount in bonds that is in the market which Unisys has invested will contribute to a greater loss if the company were to use them to remain liquid and be able to fund its operations with the ultimate consequence being a rights issue to finance the deficit. This situation has forced the company to rethink its position on the revolving credit facility which it operates with various funding institutions to the tune of $275 million. The idea is not to renew it and avoid the escalating interests due to such. This presents the company with the challenge of how it will be able to finance its operations and come out of the financial crisis.
