As the Gulf countries traded with the world, they have gained both capital and expertise to go beyond the passive investments that have dominated the flow of capital in the region in the past. Legrenzi and Momani have pointed this out, arguing that the profits accumulated from the years of stable and high oil prices have enabled the GCC states to have a wider range of investment choices. (p20) A parallel development is the perception that BITs have or will create a special limb of international customary law. (Dolzer and Schreuer, 2008, p2) It has been argued for the most part that BITs have evolved to such an extent that they have their own unique regulatory laws within the wider scope of international commercial laws. (Dolzer and Schreuer, p2) This expectation led to the favorable attitude on BITs. Sornarajah, however, raised an interesting point warranting further exploration and research. According to him, the fact that there has been an increase in BITs for some time and no legal standards has been established as yet should already demonstrate how these treaties have not been able to create the “customary principles of international law” for protecting the movement of foreign capital.

In this way, three of the readings which have been engaged during the course of the semester will be utilized to prove that the current system of opportunity and potential that exists for the individual within the United States is ultimately divorced from the reality, which t is oftentimes associated with such terms as the American dream. In such a manner, it will be the goal of this author to prove to the reader why the United States, in its present form, promises a hopeless situation for many participants within its society. Although it is not hard to disagree with such talking heads as Rush Limbaugh, the point that he made with regards to disagreeing with the overall level of potential and opportunity that exists within the United States was yet another example of some of the ridiculous things that he has said during the course of his career. What Limbaugh said was the following: “Such an understanding robs people of the ability to see the enormous opportunities directly in front of them”.

This policy, Health Care Act, aims to provide affordable health care for all Americans. This act was brought forward first to the House of Representatives where it was introduced in 2009 and after that taken back to numerous Committees for consideration and deliberation.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) or Obamacare assumes that the suitability for Medicaid will be automatically extended in all the fifty states. Nonetheless, some states did to welcome this provision, and the United States Supreme Court passed that every state would rightfully determine whether they need to continue with Medicaid on its current terms or expand Medicaid to include more low-income persons. Even though the ACA offered for the national government to make payment for all costs for Medicaid extension, individuals, and families who received enough salaries are eligible for Medicaid scheme, they are not covered by insurance provide by the employers. They are needed to buy insurance via health care exchanges to receive national subsidies of insurance payments and deductibles. The ACA needs health schemes to provide women with family planning and contraceptive services. Various employers reject that because such coverage they believe violates some of the religious principles.

The ACA was a bill, which was brought forward by the U.S House of Representatives, in 2009. Initially as drafted it never turned into a law. In order to support the policy, President Obama’s administration, and the Congress dedicated a lot of its time to put forward reform of the US healthcare system. However, this policy needs a lot of reform in order to benefit many people, and also to seal the loopholes that exist in the system. This calls for policy modification to fit contemporary lifestyles and world.

Write a 7 pages paper on a critical review of protocols for the diagnostic assessment of dysfluency. While the older diagnostic approaches (primary, secondary, phase III) focused on the full range of degrees of stuttering and not just on beginning stuttering, the newer protocols have one important difference in that they try to identify the child who is just beginning to stutter, or focuses on identifying a chronically stuttering child or someone who might stutter later (Gordon & Luper, 1992). The rationale for the use of a differential diagnostic protocol is based on the fact that there is a high rate of recovery among those who were stutterers at one point of time. about 40-80% of stutterers can have a spontaneous recovery (Bloodstein, 1981). This essay is a critical review of protocols for the diagnostic assessment of dysfluency.

The Protocol for Differentiating the Incipient Stutterer provides a systematic method for making specific observations about speech fluency (Pindzola & Dorenda, 1986.) The clinician tries to identify and categorize eight types of auditory behaviors (a type of disfluency, size of speech unit affected, frequencies of disfluencies, duration of disfluencies, audible effort, rhythm/tempo/speed of disfluencies, the intrusion of schwa vowel during repetitions, and audible learned behaviors) and records it on the Protocol (Pindzola & Dorenda, 1986). With the help of a grid, the clinician can then automatically determine whether the behavior is normal, questionable, or indicative of stuttering (Pindzola & Dorenda, 1986). Although a failure in any particular category is not necessarily an indication of a fluency problem, the presence of many questionable behaviors is suggestive of it or indicates the need to monitor the child’s fluency (Pindzola & Dorenda, 1986). While the diagnosis is made on the basis of the eight auditory behaviors, supportive information is obtained from the remaining sections of the protocol (i.e., visual evidence and historical/psychological indicators) (Pindzola & Dorenda, 1986). The greatest indicators of incipient stuttering are probably provided by the first five of the eight behaviors.
