All of these questions will also be discussed. The topic which I have chosen is job designing and flexibility. The primary aim of this assignment is to give a clear and brief understanding of ways to design a job that is flexible also with regard to employees of an organization. However, some countries place trade barriers to place restrictions to the extent in which foreign goods may enter the domestic market. For example, India adopted import-substitution ethos as early as 1950 in an effort to build the economy (Stern, 2009). It placed stringent trade restrictions that served a fundamental role in industrialization. Such trade restrictions may take the form of tariff or non-tariff barriers. The tariff barriers take a monetary form whereas the non-tariff barriers act as regulatory measures against free trade.

Tariff barriers entail duties placed on imports to restrict free trade. Tariffs increase the prices of imports ensuring that domestic producers do not have to lower their prices. A specific tariff sets a fixed amount of levy on imports regardless of the value of goods. On the other hand, an ad valorem tariff entails a percentage of the value of imports. A country may impose environmental tariffs on imports from a country with a poor environmental history. In India, the ad valorem tariffs ensured that foreign goods did not compromise industrialization (Stern, 2009).

Non-tariff barriers entail import quotas and health and safety regulations complement the tariff barriers to protect the domestic market. For example, since 1950, India placed trade policies to ensure that agriculture thrived. hence, the large number of workforce registered in agriculture (Stern, 2009). Import quotas place a maximum amount of imports that enters the domestic market.

Both tariff and non-tariff barriers aim to protect the domestic market to ensure that local producers maximize their sales. In addition, the barriers ensure that the local producers have a competitive advantage over foreign producers. hence, establishing favorable balance of payments.

An abstract is required. Amidst all the numerous instruments the audience was still able to concentrate on the performance and get the message clearly instead of being distracted by the instruments. However, I felt that some of the pieces were given a rather cold and unemotional performance than they deserved. The performers could have put more effort to make the pieces more lovely and alluring. Nevertheless, overall performance was insightful and great and left the audience feeling satisfied with no chance of regretting their decision to attend the concert. If I were to rate the concert, I would give the performers 8 out of 10.

The first performance was three dances from The Three-Cornered Hat. The first piece of the three dances performed was the Neighbors Dance. The composer is Manuel de Falla, a Spanish man renowned for his magnificent compositions. The style period represented by this composition is modernity. The composition is based on a storybook that features three main characters, the Corregidor, the Miller, and Miller’s wife. The Neighbors Dance is a leisurely performance where Miller together with his wife joins their neighbor in a joyful dance. The genre represented in the performance of this piece is ballet. Ballet is a musical genre in the form of a dance involving formal steps and gestures. The feature that stood out most about the piece during the performance was the rhythm and passion that kept the audience captivated. Though the good application of rhythm achieved a soft and enchanting performance, I felt that this piece came out tense and dry. Regardless, it still was a superb display of talent, practice, dedication, and mastery of techniques by the performers.
