You will prepare and submit a term paper on Opinion vs. Research Based Resources: Obamacare. Your paper should be a minimum of 500 words in length. Since Obamacare was signed into law, in March of 2010, the concern about the changes It will bring began and have not concluded. (Faria, 2012) In the first article, Wilensky focused on the 3 major issues with America’s healthcare, the number of uninsured, the rising costs, and the percentage of the low quality of health services being received., Obamacare really only addresses the first of those problems. The high costs and lack of quality health services are being “lip-serviced,” but not dealt with. Using logic and mathematics, the author, determines that Obamacare will be, both, socially and economically incapable of meeting the needed healthcare services of the country, by the year 2030. Obamacare is, simply, not sustainable. (2012) While Wilensky offered logic and hard math, Begley’s article, said that Obamacare issues are not being resolved because no one is approaching it logically or reasonably. Many people are afraid of Obamacare and, the author explains that many of those fears could be the result of misinformation. “Attack! The Truth About Obamacare” focuses less on the health services that will be lost or denied, but on losses that may not exist. Experts claim that Obamacare will inevitably treat different people completely differently at entirely different times, essentially negating the quality of health services that citizens will receive, but, also, the consistency of that care may suffer. (Oberlander, 2012) Many people fear that Obamacare will lead to a government takeover of the healthcare industry as a whole, allowing government-appointed officials to determine treatments you will qualify for or will be allowed to have. Begley claims that this is an exaggeration and distracts from the positive elements of the healthcare act. (2009)

Having read and compared both articles, I conclude, that, both, would be acceptable as credible articles. However, Wilensky’s article offers an unbiased perspective, using facts to make his point. Begley’s views are much more biased. the article reads as much more defensive of the healthcare act and can be perceived as an argument in favor of Obamacare. Ultimately, I would probably rely more heavily upon the Wilensky article as a primary source and the Begley article as a secondary option. Both are worth including in any discussion on this topic because they are both well written and offer relevant points. I feel that in this case, however, Wilensky’s approach would serve better. Whenever I begin any search for sources for a specific topic the first thing I look for is that it is scholarly in nature, from a reputable publication. I do this for the obvious reasons, the credibility and usefulness. I, also, do a lot of research online. The internet is a place “land-mined” with unreliable and misleading information. For this reason, the most important thing I look for when scanning for possible sources are the sites marked “.gov” or “.org.” These sites tend to be more reliable than other locations on the internet.

In the end, the issues circulating around Obamacare are not likely to resolve themselves anytime soon. Many researchers feel that all of the controversies Obamacare has created may permanently taint the U.S. citizen’s impressions of any form of “universalized” healthcare. (Gottschalk, 2011) There is a level of trust and faith that this country has lost in its government and its leadership. It is necessary to have clear and structured reforms that will impact healthcare in a positive way, encouraging equality and efficiency of healthcare services.

After a complete analysis of the data, activities are associated with all products and services of a company to know which products contribute to the increase in profits of the company and which products or services result in loss for the company.

One of the major steps that the top management must take while planning to implement an activity-based costing system in a company is to set up a team of skilled professionals related to the field of accounting. The basic purpose of the team should be to identify those activities which turn out to be expensive for the business processes instead of increasing the profits of the company. The team of professionals should be skilled enough to identify the details of the hidden costs related to the business activities. Some costs are not entirely obvious and need to be identified through proper examination of the business processes. The team should outsource or cut back all unnecessary activities to make the business processes cost-effective.

Activity-based costing makes use of computers for the proper identification and analysis of the gathered data. Computers gather the data, which helps the managers assign costs to different activities based on their use. Computers first gather data and details of hidden costs from different sources and then assist the managers in making the most suitable and appropriate decisions regarding the activities related to different business processes. Companies can get rid of those activities related to the services that tend to be expensive instead of being cost-effective.

The top management needs to have a complete understanding of the ongoing financial issues of the company to implement an activity-based costing system. The top management of a company sometimes needs to perform a test.

Provide a 30 pages analysis while answering the following question: Brand value and its effect on public perception and to a business. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The names of the products become brands when they are globally recognized by the people. When these names become brands, they also obtain the responsibility of commitment towards their customers and also the channel partners or intermediaries. A product is not a brand but a brand is something more than a product. Brand value helps in delivering or communicating specific message to the customers (Parameswaran 3). The message that the brand conveys to its target customers, helps to decide the type of strategies that the firm would form to retain its brand value. Marketing strategies are developed for protecting and further enhancing the brand value of the products. Brand value also helps in measuring the value that is generated from the marketing investments. If brand value is monitored regularly then it also enables the marketing agency and the client to react to the market fluctuations promptly and also assign particular resources for taking measures in those areas (Ahmad 81). The study aims at focusing on the oil and gas industry of UAE to discuss the different dimensions of brand value, its effects on the perception of the people and the business. It was oil that transformed UAE from an underdeveloped desert region to a prosperous and rich country. On one side this is positive aspect of UAE because oil and gas resource has changed the standard of living of the people. This suggests that the value of the oil and gas industry as a brand has increased with time. On the other hand, the recent oil spill incidence of British Petroleum in the Gulf of Mexico had adversely affected the brand image of the oil and gas industry globally. The developing countries around the world had held the company British Petroleum responsible for poor safety and maintenance framework. After this incident British Petroleum lost about $32 billion in a span of two weeks. Though British Petroleum assured that it would bear all the oil spill cleaning cost and compensate the people who were affected from this oil spill, but the loss was massive and it was really difficult for the company to recover its lost brand image and value even if it compensate the people for their losses. Many companies in this sector are facing branding issues due to various factors, such as entry of new labels or brands, fragmentation of the target customers, cut throat competition, economic condition and expectation from the financial market or customers’ preferences towards the visible brand names. It has been seen that many strong brands in this sector are losing their value and their financial performance is also getting affected. The major plays in the oil and gas industry around the world, such as Shell, British Petroleum, ExxonMobil, etc are using narrow approach as a method for branding as it is becoming difficult to companies to maintain their position and their well established brand value.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on Divorce Among Koreans in the United States. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. This may be true not only among Americans in the United States of America in recent developments but generally among all the peoples of the world. For instance, it is said that it is

easier to divorce than to flag down a taxi in Korea. (Hayes, Sean. Reform of the Korean Divorce Law. OhmyNews INTERNATIONAL. [internet]) The Korean divorce rate is one of the highest in the globe and possibly the highest in Asia.

There are many possible reasons why the newest generation of Koreans has a high rate of divorce. It may be because of the new liberal and more dynamic and independent role of women in the new societal set-up or because of the rising trend for individualistic attitudes rather than for family advancement and value formation. It may also be due to society having modernized so quickly or due to personal demands for selfish gratification at the click of a finger.

While a divorce or a separation helps any one of the spouses or the two of them in so many instances, this can only be fine and in order, if there are no children affected as when the couple did not bear any. In another way of saying, children who are the products of a broken marriage almost always become a menace to society as they resort to drugs, alcohol, unwanted pregnancies in the case of daughters, and other undesirable practices or behavior as acts of rebellion against the parents who have shattered what could have been a whole and happy family.

In one study, statistics and findings showed that only a total of 6.1 % of Koreans in the United States are either separated or divorced, lower than that for other nationals. (Yu, Eui-Young, Peter Choe and Sang Il Han. Korean Population in the United States, 2000. Demographic Characteristics and Socio-Economic Status. page 9. [internet]). Curiously again, of one hundred thirty-three Korean women interviewed in a 2003 study who live in the United States, only seven were divorced or separated.
