In this assignment you are being asked to address the following question: Freud’s view was that normal sexual behavior in adults could develop only if many aspects of the child’s “polymorphously perverse” sexual predispositions were repressed. First, explain this statement in at least ¾ page and use concrete examples. Be sure to define within what “polymorphously perverse” means. Second, provide some alternative theoretical perspective on how else the development of healthy adult sexuality can be explained.

Use at least 3 sources (not including anything from your textbook or the Personality Reader). Remember, sources are not the same thing as resources.

Sources are academically credible journal articles or primary source books (not textbooks).

Resources are things like textbooks, Wikipedia, web pages, and magazine and newspaper articles.  In this class, expect to use academically credible sources and to lose points when you use resources instead of sources.

Make your submission at least 2 ½   to 3 pages total (not including title page or reference page), typed, double spaced and in 12-point Times New Roman font. Include a title page and reference page, both in APA format (as the entire submission should be).I just got another chance to redo the exam because of the misunderstanding of what you wrote. The instructor told me to describe and be specific on my topic “Sane in Insane Places” regarding to the 8 guidelines mentioned on the exam. Not in general as you wrote. You have to include some details from my topic. I have an example of how you should describe the 8 guidelines regarding to my topic. The example is in the fille attached ” Example.jpg”.

Evaluate your personal or vicarious experiences and/or weekly sources, utilizing citations, to support your beliefs about why, what you included, is of such importance.

In this journal,

  • Reflect on the factors (cognitive development, language development, and intelligence), that you have learned about this week.
  • Identify what you believe to be the most important variables that are associated with each of the following areas:
    • memory development
    • language development
    • infant intelligence development
    • cognitive development in adolescence
  • Evaluate your personal or vicarious experiences and/or weekly sources, utilizing citations, to support your beliefs about why, what you included, is of such importance.

Your journal this week should be 400 to 500 words and have an introduction and a conclusion as described in the Ashford University Writing Center’s resource, Introductions & Conclusions (Links to an external site.). You should exhibit obvious attention to critical thought and understanding of the content, as demonstrated in Samantha Agoos’s TED-Ed Animation, 5 Tips to Improve Your Critical Thinking (Links to an external site.). You should include citations as needed to support your ideas. As this is your personal reflection about the material this week, your journal should limit the use of quoted material. Proper grammar should be applied, for which you should consider using the Writing Center’s Grammarly (Links to an external site.) resource. At minimum, cite your text to support your assertions within your explanation, but you may also use additional scholarly sources. The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources (Links to an external site.) table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. References should be listed following the reflection. You will have until 11:59 p.m. on Day 7 (Monday) to deliver this journal reflection.

Carefully review the Grading Rubric (Links to an external site.) for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.

Waypoint Assignment Submission

Identify a list of 10 peer reviewed social work journals from the library that you might find helpful relative to your social work practice interests.

Reflect on the importance of using articles from peer-reviewed journals compared to information from the Internet. Ask yourself who evaluates the accuracy of information that you might obtain websites like Wikipedia and what form of accountability there is to ensuring that information is up-to-date, reliable, and valid.

Review the Final Assignment: Article Review and Critique in Week 10 for this class. Note that you will have to locate an empirical research article from a peer-reviewed journal. Begin to search for an article. Practice navigating the databases in the library by searching topics of interest. (Note: At this point, you do not need to identify the actual empirical research article. The goal of this assignment is to begin getting comfortable navigating the databases in the library).

For this Assignment, complete the following:

  • Identify a list of 10 peer reviewed social work journals from the library that you might find helpful relative to your social work practice interests.
  • In a 100-150 word paragraph, discuss why using research studies from peer reviewed journals is important to the development of knowledge in social work. For example, discuss the advantages of having articles reviewed by other scholars and researchers. Then using a case illustration, describe how articles from peer-reviewed journals can help to inform your social work practice decisions with clients, communities, agencies, and/or social work policies.

cReview this week’s Learning Resources and consider the possible characteristics of a potential target of that cyber victimization

According to Bullystatistics.org (n.d.), “about half of young people have experienced some form of cyber bullying.” This number may seem incredible, but what makes this possible? Why is this type of victimization so prevalent?

In this Discussion, you explore potential characteristics of those who become victims of cyber bullying. You also examine how an individual’s level of cognitive development might make them more or less prone to cyber victimization.

To Prepare for this Discussion:

  • Select one form of cyber victimization
  • Review this week’s Learning Resources and consider the possible characteristics of a potential target of that cyber victimization
  • Also, consider the level of cognitive development of a potential target of the selected form of cyber victimization.
  • Search the Internet and the Walden library for two scholarly article(s) related to the characteristics and cognitive development of potential cyber victims.

By Day 4

Post an analysis of the characteristics of the potential cyber victims or vulnerable population, including the population’s age range and level of cognitive development relative to the form of cyber victimization you selected. Explain how society might be responsible for protecting the potential victim. Suggest a strategy to educate and empower individuals against online predators to mitigate their risk. Include at least one scholarly source. Use proper APA format and citations.
