Write a 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of your results and include a copy and paste of the appropriate visual display of the data into your document.

In your Week 2 Assignment, you displayed data based on a categorical variable and continuous variable from a specific dataset. In Week 3, you used the same variables as in Week 2 to perform a descriptive analysis of the data. For this Assignment, you will calculate a confidence interval in SPSS for one of the variables from your Week 2 and Week 3 Assignments.

To prepare for this Assignment:

  • Review the Learning Resources related to probability,      sampling distributions, and confidence intervals.
  • For additional support, review the Skill Builder:      Confidence Intervals and the Skill Builder: Sampling Distributions,      which you can find by navigating back to your Blackboard Course Home Page.      From there, locate the Skill Builder link in the left navigation pane.
  • Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset      or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you chose) from      Week 2.
  • Choose an appropriate variable from Weeks 2 and 3 and      calculate a confidence interval in SPSS.
  • Once you perform your confidence interval, review      Chapter 5 and 11 of the Wagner text to understand how to copy and paste      your output into your Word document.

For this Assignment:

Write a 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of your results and include a copy and paste of the appropriate visual display of the data into your document.

Based on the results of your data in this confidence interval Assignment, provide a brief explanation of what the implications for social change might be.

The Literature Review paper must be completed using 6 – 8 articles from the APUS Online Library which will be briefly described (or annotated) in the Annotated Bibliography.

( My topic is Addiction effecting overall development, I have provided all the articles i want to be used in my annotated biblography)

For this assignment you will develop one or two paragraphs describing in brief APUS Online Library evidence-based, peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on a psychology topic associated with a classmate’s peer-reviewed article summary of your choice posted on the Week 2 discussion board. This topic will also be the focus of your Literature Review paper.

The Literature Review paper must be completed using 6 – 8 articles from the APUS Online Library which will be briefly described (or annotated) in the Annotated Bibliography. The Annotated Bibliography is an important step in developing the Literature Review.

An annotated bibliography is an APA formatted list of all the published sources used for an assignment with the word “References” centered at the top of the page. The term “Annotated” indicates that each article used must include directly below its title a brief paragraph 4 to 5 sentences in length describing what the particular article covers. These paragraphs must be written in the student’s own words. Copying is forbidden and quoting isn’t needed or accepted for this assignment. The assignment must be completed per the course general writing standards.

After the completion of the Annotated Bibliography assignment you will have the foundation for your Literature Review reference list.  At the time the paper is completed, you need but remove the paragraphs from below the Annotated Bibliography publication titles and what remains will be a list of the sources used for your paper suitable for immediate attachment to your Literature Review paper if you already double spaced and arranged the titles per APA standards.

Do not use any quotes from the paper. Quoting will result in a lower grade. Do not paraphrase – use your own writing. Any plagiarism will result in a project not being read or graded.

The “effective-learning” assignment will test your ability to think, generate hypotheses, and, in general, apply psychological science. The task will be to read a paper referenced in the “A guide to Effective Studying and Learning” by Matthew G. Rhodes, Anne M. Cleary, & Edward L. DeLosh.  Then you will write a brief (about 400 words) summary of the paper. In this summary, outline what the hypotheses were, what the methodology was, what the results were, and what are the implications of these results.   You will then write an additional analysis (about 200 words) about how one could take the results of that study and use it to improve the efficiency of their own learning.  In this second section, consider what the data show and how learners can apply those results to make themselves better learners.  Think about this last section as a “letter to grandma” in which you explain how a particular memory/learning technique can be incorporated into your own learning.   This section should be in simple language that anyone can understand.

Requirements

  1. The paper you review must be from the Reference section of Rhodes et al (2019).  If your chosen paper is not from Rhodes et al (2019), your project will not be read or graded.
  2. Do not use any quotes from the paper. Quoting will result in a lower grade.
  3. Do not paraphrase – use your own writing. Any plagiarism will result in a project not being read or graded.
  4. If you do not know what the word “plagiarism” means, read below and make sure you understand.
  5. A full reference to the paper used must be included.
  6. The project must be between 500 and 700 words. Projects shorter and longer will not be read or graded.  You must craft your arguments to fit into the word limit. The word limit refers to the body of your project and does not include a title page (not required), references, and any supplementary material you add (not required).
  7. APA style is encouraged but not required.
  8. You may email me questions on how best to do this project
