Identify two people or a caregiver (as in the case of an infant), who represent two different stages of the life span—ideally, two who do not identify with your own current stage of life span development—and set up an brief 15–20  minute interview with them for this assignment. For example, select an  adolescent and a senior in late adulthood, or the parent of a newborn  and a child in late childhood.

Conversationally interview these two people in order to compare what  you have learned here in class, through the textbook, lectures, and  videos, with their perception of what it is actually like to be in their  stage of life.

Interviews may be done via phone, Skype, email, etc. Take notes or record (with permission) your interview.

Below  are some suggestions for your conversation. You do not need to cover  all of these topics in your paper, but they will help you shape your  discussion. Be sure to note which topics you discuss.

PSYC 290 Interview Questions – Interview question file is attached

In your write up, tell us the gender, age, identified life stage of  development, and cultural identification(s) of the individuals you  interviewed. Be sure to maintain each individual’s privacy and  confidentiality when asked to do so. Summarize the topics you discussed  and share your interviewees’ responses (you may paraphrase and quote).

In your paper, after you have shared what the interviewees  discussed, share your thoughts on the process of talking with someone  about their place in the life span. Did you learn anything from your  conversations that you did not learn in the academic materials? How  accurate do you think psychologists have been in identifying and  classifying the different life stages? Explain.

  • Your paper should be 2–4 pages long not including the title and reference pages.
  • Be sure to include a brief introduction and a conclusion to your paper.
  • Use current APA Style throughout, include a title page, cite your  interviews parenthetically within the paper, and include a reference  page for any other resources you use, such as your text or course  materials.

Determine which referrals you would make and how you would collaborate with other behavioral health care professionals.

In Topic 4, you submitted a treatment plan for your client Eliza. Since the initial treatment plan, several changes have taken place within Eliza’s case. Read Eliza’s Case Study: Part Three. Since the mandatory assessment 2 weeks ago, you have discovered that Eliza is again on your client listing for the day due to a mandatory evaluation, with the incident report indicating that campus public safety, due to a tip from a concerned resident, found the client passed out and alone in her dorm, smelling of alcohol.

Part 1: Review the initial Treatment Plan submitted in Topic 4.

  • Reassess your treatment plan diagnoses, goals, and objectives based on the new information provided.
  • Fill out and submit a new treatment plan evidencing the changes made in treatment utilizing the treatment plan template provided.

Part 2: In a 1,000-1,250-word essay, answer the questions presented in a separate Word document, addressing the following:

  • Examine the case and propose why the changes occurred.
  • Reassess the effectiveness and validity of the treatment plan.
  • Discuss how the treatment plan needs to be adjusted to address the changes in the situation.
  • Justify the changes both ethically and legally.
  • Determine what the changes (obstacles) mean to the treatment plan.
  • Discuss how you would evaluate the resources available for you to make a referral.
  • Discuss how you would communicate to the client the need for referrals to other behavioral health care professionals.
  • Determine which referrals you would make and how you would collaborate with other behavioral health care professionals.
  • Include any instruments you would use to assess the client.

Submit the revised treatment plan and essay to your instructor.

Integration Paper Instructions

Description: This paper is the capstone project of the course, and it will describe your approach to the relationship between psychology and Christianity. You will classify your approach and note the strengths (3) and limitations (3) of your view as well as reflect on different factors that led to your position.

Purpose: This course has presented several models of the relationship between Christian faith and the discipline of psychology. Your view of the relationship between psychology and the Christian faith will guide your practice of psychology, both professionally and personally. This paper provides an explicit avenue for you to articulate a coherent view of the relationship between psychology and Christianity.

Details:

1. Papers will be graded on the quality of thinking, defense, organization, clarity, and grammar…not on whether you agree with the instructor’s position.

2. Begin with an introductory paragraph that describes the importance of examining the relationship between psychology and Christianity. The last sentence of the introduction must be your thesis statement that guides the rest of your paper.

· Example: Upon consideration of the evidence from various disciplines of study, it seems like the (model chosen) best captures the relationship between Integration psychological science and Christian faith.

3. In writing about your position (you will need to classify your approach), be sure to touch on the following (and remember to cite Entwistle when you use his ideas):

· What methods of knowing are appropriate for Christians and why (this will actually help you classify your approach);

· A thorough description of the model and how it views the relationship between psychology and Christianity;

· How your model views the two books concept;

· Strengths of the model (at least three);

· Limitations of the model (at least three); be sure to include critiques offered by those who hold other positions; and

· Remember to use transition statements as you move from one main idea to the next.

4. End with a conclusion.

5. Avoid using 1st person.

· Instead of saying “I think Christians should embrace psychology,” say “Christians should embrace psychology.”

· Instead of saying “My view corresponds with the Colonialist position,” say “The Colonialist position seems ….”
