For this assignment, you will view two videos (you MUST use those specifically listed below) of a student being interviewed. In one of these, the student is doing many things wrong. In the other, the student, does a wonderful job, demonstrating many of the correct things do in an interview.

After viewing the videos, you will create two lists:
1.    What the person did WELL and
2.    What he did WRONG.

Arrange your LISTS as follows:
Sample Interview 1 What NOT to do/bad Interviewing:
List 5 things that the candidate did INCORRECTLY. Referring to what weve discussed in class (see Interviewing power point on iCollege), briefly list 5 things that you saw the candidate NOT to do well in an interview and what the person should do differently.

Sample Interview 2 More Effective Interview:
List 5 things that the candidate did CORRECTLY. Referring to what weve discussed in class (see Interviewing power point on iCollege), briefly list 5 effective things that you saw the candidate do in the interview.

Requirements    Description
Format        11 size font used; 1 spaced
    Margins no bigger than 1 inch
    1-2 pages long
Writing    Ill be looking for:
    How well youve thought through and articulated your thoughts in each statement.
    Well written, clear, overall grammar/sentence construction.
Content        Includes 5 specific things that you observed that the person should NOT have done and WHY. NOTE: You MUST include why (your explanation of what was done wrong and why its wrong), or you will have points taken off.
    Includes 5 specific points that the person did CORRECTLY and WHY.

Assignment:

1. Topic: Pick a thesis related to engineering ( probability and statistics if possible ). and verify you can find enough data to research the topic and prove or
disprove the thesis. Finding the thesis is wrong (Disproving the thesis) is still a Project.

2. Write a full 6-page (max 10-pages) research paper: the 6-pages includes the supporting graphs.

Note: supporting data will be placed in an Appendix and does NOT count as pages written.
Word document, typed, 12-font, Arial, full justified, double spaced, 0.75-inch margins and
stapled. References will follow the same format as the IEEE article format a modified Chicago
style. Modified in that there are no footnotes on the bottom of each page, collect all quoted
references in a section at end of the paper. In addition, sources researched but not quoted from
are to be in a section after references called sources.

NOTE: references and sources do not count as pages written.
