I need some assistance with these assignment. a great vacation Thank you in advance for the help! My mother told me she had a college friend who lived and worked there. My Aunt Amelia, what I called my mother’s friend, had extended an invitation to stay over at her farm and house in Bangkok. Since I knew my parents would like to see the country too, I planned to bring them with me on this trip. Fortunately, I was able to find an airline company which offered cheap tickets to Southeast Asia if bought several months before the travel date. A plus about this arrangement was when I told one of my close friends about it, she decided to come along with us as well. It proved to be a good idea because I knew my parents would not let me go around Bangkok alone. I would be forced to spend time with the ‘oldies’.&nbsp.

Since my aunt wanted to spend more time with my parents, my Mom and Dad left for Bangkok a week earlier than my friend and I. Looking back, it would not have been such a bad idea, after all, to leave when my parents did. At least, the early trip would have saved my friend and I a lot of stress. When my friend and I got to the airport, there was a long line of people waiting to be checked in. Too excited about our first time to travel together, we fell in line and started talking about being in Thailand the next day and the places we wanted to see. With around ten or fifteen people, including us, waiting to be checked-in, an airline personnel suddenly informed us that they had overbooked the flight. To make up for their error, they were going to give us a hotel voucher for the night and another voucher with 1-year validity for any trip of equal value or lesser value. This was all great since I was going to get a free trip. However, it also meant a day not getting to see the sights in another country.&nbsp.

However, the implementation of this methodology needs some primary changes for instance as a teacher instructional practice (Blamires, 1999).

The purpose of this paper is to accurately define anabolic steroids as well as to discuss not only the risks involved with steroid use but also the benefits which are often not discussed.

The term anabolic means to build up. It originates from the Greek word above which simply means ’to build up’. It is the opposite of the term metabolic which means to break down. Our bodies are able to utilize energy and create heat (heat is energy) through the process of metabolism. Conversely, anabolism is the process of building up. Anabolic steroids are so named because they do just that, they build up or rather allow the body to generate muscle mass more efficiently. On a cellular level, anabolic steroids promote protein synthesis which generates new cellular tissue resulting in greater muscle mass. This is the reason that professional athletes sometimes turn to steroid use.

Anabolic steroids are typically related to the male hormone testosterone. Testosterone promotes the development of male characteristics such as body hair, vocal cords (deeper voice), and other male-specific features. Naturally, women have a proportionally lower overall muscle mass than men. Testosterone is present in higher volumes in men, promotes more lean muscle mass which is also a male characteristic. Because of the tissue-building qualities of anabolic steroids, they are often used to treat diseases such as cancer and AIDS. Both cancer and AIDS can be referred to as diseases that cause wasting. This means that they work to break down or destroy the body’s healthy tissue over time. Anabolic steroids can be given to patients suffering from these diseases in order to work against the effects of wasting. Anabolic steroids are also excellent for stimulating the growth of healthy bone tissue, not just muscle tissue. In some cases, patients who are chronically or terminally ill may be given steroids to increase appetite.

As with any medication, anabolic steroids also have side effects. Additionally, as with any medication, the benefits of the medication must outweigh the risks of taking it, in order for its administration to be justified. Certainly in the case of patients with cancer or AIDS, steroids are easily justified as their benefits can be life-extending.
