Directions:
Discuss Wollstonecrafts views regarding reason and virtue and how they are best cultivated in human beings.  Given these views, why is the system of gender role socialization of her time so pernicious?  How, per Wollstonecraft, should this system be changed, and how would this benefit  both the acquisition of knowledge and the progress of society?

Try to answer the question, and to develop a persuasive argument in answer to the question. In doing so, please do make specific reference to the text(s) that you are discussing.  For example, saying, “Machiavelli thinks that human beings are basically evil” may be correct, but saying “In the Discourses, Book I, chapter 3, Machiavelli asserts that all human beings are basically evil when he states that ‘all men are bad and ever ready to display their vicious nature’ (Machiavelli 1984 [1531], 117)” is more accurate. The reference may also be made via footnotes; the point is that I want you to offer not merely your impressions of an author’s intent, but your substantiated argument regarding the authors intent. This is not intended to exclude speculation but rather to indicate that it should be informed speculation.

Based on the theory and research from all of these readings, discuss reasons for why Latino neighborhoods tend to have lower crime rates than black neighborhoods, despite the fact that these are both minority groups with similar percentages of the US

In Divergent Social Worlds, Peterson and Krivo focus most heavily on differences between black and white neighborhoods. However, they also find that Latino neighborhoods tend to have higher crime rates than white neighborhoods, though not as high as black neighborhoods. Likewise, the article that we read about immigrant concentration, and the background notes that I provided, explained that neighborhoods with high concentrations of Latino immigrants tend to have much lower crime rates than would be expected based on their socioeconomic status. Based on the theory and research from all of these readings, discuss reasons for why Latino neighborhoods tend to have lower crime rates than black neighborhoods, despite the fact that these are both minority groups with similar percentages of the US population? Make sure you are actually addressing the question asked. Simply stating facts is not
the same as distinguishing, illustrating, explaining, comparing, and so on.

For example, How does histone acetylation around promoter regions increase
gene transcription? is NOT adequately answered by histone acetylation lessens
the positive charge of the histone so DNA cannot wrap around them as tightly.
While the given answer is true, it does not link the wrapping of DNA around
histones with transcription rates, and therefore, does not fully answer the
question.
For each question the maximum answer length is 300 words.
