Health Insurance Coverage – The Nursing TermPaper

Answer the following questions;

Do you feel it is better to allow individuals the freedom to choose any type of  (or no) health insurance coverage available to them or to increase government involvement in a person’s/family’s healthcare via mandates, such as the ACA and/or the government as a single insurer for all residents.  Why?

Discuss the mission of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI).

If you could reform the malpractice or tort laws, what types of changes would you make? When do you feel it is appropriate for someone to claim damages from medical procedures or treatment? Do you feel there should be a cap on the payments, and if so, how would you decide what that cap would be? What are all the different costs involved in medical malpractice suites? Is it easier to talk about tort reform than to actually try to define it?

 4.  The rights of people once they have been incarcerated can be a controversial topic of  discussion. Discuss the healthcare rights of the incarcerated population. What do you feel should or should not be provided to those who are imprisoned? Are there certain tests or procedures that they feel should be performed routinely? Why or why not? What is the nurse’s role, based on the section on page 248?

This assignment must be presented based on the instructions given;  in an APA format word document, Arial 12 font.

A minimum of 3 evidence-based references no older than 5 years  (excluding the class textbook) are required. You must post at least two replies to any or your peers sustained with the proper references.  A minimum of 600 words are required (excluding first and last page)

Post by Day 4 a brief description of the three tests you selected. Then explain appropriate uses of these tests. Finally, describe how you might use each test in a specific context, and provide a rationale for using each test in the context described.

Test Uses

Testing is useful in any setting that requires objective information to make decisions about people. Educational and occupational testing are two broad areas that use testing extensively. You may have taken educational tests such as the GRE or SAT, and you have probably taken hundreds of classroom tests at this point in your education. Occupational testing, in contrast, can match people with jobs and careers or help select job candidates. Clinical and counseling psychology also use applied testing. Tests used by these types of psychologists can help people understand themselves better and can be used for personal guidance. In addition, tests can assist with mental health diagnosis and treatment planning.

Tests can be used to measure many different personal characteristics: intelligence, personality, skill or aptitude, psychopathology, and interest. The same test can be used for many different purposes and several tests can be used together, as part of a test battery. An important aspect of testing is to understand which tests to use in a particular situation in order to answer specific questions and make the best decisions.

Select three tests (one from each of three different categories, e.g., intelligence and vocational interest) from the list below. Research the tests you selected. Then consider how you might use each of these three tests in a specific context and why.

  • Intelligence Tests:
    • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, 4th Edition (WAIS-IV)
    • Stanford-Binet, 5th Edition
    • Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC)
  • Academic Achievement Tests:
    • Wide Range Achievement Test, 4th Edition (WRAT4)
    • Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement
  • Vocational Interest Tests:
    • Career Assessment Inventory
    • Self-Directed Search
    • Strong Interest Inventory
  • Test of Personality/Psychopathology:
    • Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, 2 (MMPI-2)
    • Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory, 2 (MCMI-III)
    • 16-PF Myers-Briggs NEO-PI-R

With these thoughts in mind:

Post by Day 4 a brief description of the three tests you selected. Then explain appropriate uses of these tests. Finally, describe how you might use each test in a specific context, and provide a rationale for using each test in the context described.

ENG16 proposal Discussion Questions English homework help

Please read my attached essay and reply to each question. (its okay to bullshit your way though haha) 300 words and 2 sources for each please.

1) Four important steps when composing a proposal include (1) convincing the audience that there is a problem that needs to be solved, (2) explaining what you want your audience to do about the problem, (3) acknowledging opposing viewpoints or steps to solving the problem and (4) justifying the action you are asking your audience to take.  What strategies will you use for each step? What will make your content for each of these steps effective?  Later in the week, review answers that your classmates have provided and provide feedback on their ideas.

2) Many people have either engaged in an argument that seemed unresolvable or witnessed such an argument between friends and family members. Consider one of these arguments you have either experienced or witnessed, and then identify the fallacies that were expressed during this discussion or argument. Note how the fallacies prevented the discussion from being resolved. What did you learn about fallacies from this experience that you can apply to your proposal essay? How might fallacies like these be avoided in proposal writing?
