Section 1:

Section 2:
Research and report on one organization and one individual who is working to improve the lives of women and children in the sex industry (in your given area either pornography/prostitution/sex trafficking) that were not discussed in the course materials. You can report on more than one of each, but you must report on AT LEAST ONE OF EACH
This section should include specific information about what the organization is doing, who it is reaching, what it’s goals are, and why it is either succesful or unsuccesful.
The individual you research can not be the founder of your organization. Please think creatively about individual’s who are making an impact. This could be an educator, a legislator, an activist, etc. In this section please include what it is that they are doing, who they are impacting, and why you believe their work is valuable.
Section 3: This is the core of the assignment, and your chance to be creative. A significant amount of your grade will be based on this section, so please take this section seriously.
Create a plan of action to make a difference in women’s lives in the sex industry. Imagine that you have an unlimited budget. You can create an organization/ an education campaign/ change a policy/ Hold a rally/ boycott a product etc.. Please include specific details as to what your plan would be and who would be involved (who would your allies be in making this plan work). Please include who the target population would be and why you think this population needs this service/policy/education. This is a chance for you to be creative, but your creativity needs to be based in research. You must include a minimum of 3 sources in this section that support both the need for this type of service/policy/education/activism / etc. and the actual work that you are proposing doing.
For example: If you propose that you will start an organization you need to provide evidence that the specific organization is needed as well as evidence that the services that are needed will be effective for the population that you are serving.
