Lecture Assignment Directions: This lecture assignment is designed to allow students to consider how to develop better understanding about the underlying principles and key concepts of marketing and apply those principles and concepts to their chosen marketing field to enhance the performance of their marketing performances. Stated differently, this assignment provides students with an opportunity 1) to reinterpret their chosen marketing field—i.e., financial marketing, fashion marketing, entertainment marketing, sports marketing, and so on—using five core marketing concepts and other principles of marketing such as value creation and delivery process, value proposition, marketing management tasks, etc. and 2) to exercise how to apply those marketing principles into real world to make their business or marketing practices successful. Remember all the contents should be written in a WORD format (using 11 or 12 points font and 1.15 or 1.5 line spacing) and each report should not exceed more than maximum 10 pages. For the completion, students may utilize relevant information from various sources such as the textbook and internet. If you just copy some existing contents from any source, you will receive zero score. Instead, it is necessary to rephrase the borrowed information with citations. Assignment #1: Be Marketing Expert in Your Chosen Field you are the marketer in your chosen field since you are involved in the exchange process to build profitable or non-profitable relationships with your clients. For instance, it can be said that mom is marketer in a sense that she prepares and delivers delicious and healthy foods for their kids’ breakfast via the exchange process. Politicians also are the marketers in a sense that they pass a bill for the entire welfare of the society in which we belong. In this regard, the goal of first lecture assignment is to propose your plan to be a good marketer in your chosen field using five core marketing concepts or five major tasks in the 2 marketing management process. For example, discuss how to be a good accountant, fashion marketer, sports agent, lawyer, businessman, mom or parent, politician, and so on, using five core marketing concepts. It is believed that this opportunity allows you to prepare for your future career in your chosen marketing field. To complete this assignment, you first should choose one marketing field—e.g., sports marketing, financial marketing, accounting, or entertainment marketing field. Then, discuss how to be a marketing expert in your chosen field using five core marketing concepts and other principles of marketing. The following is the format of the report you may consider when composing. The five core marketing concepts are: 1- Customer needs, wants, and demand. 2- Market. 3- Market offering. 4- Customer value and satisfaction. 5- Exchanges, transactions, & relationships.
