Something to consider about fallacies;

According to Parker and Moore, There are three formal fallacies: Affirming the consequent, denying the antecedent and undistributed middle.

It is important to understand there is a difference between explaining why an effect occurs opposed to excusing the actions that caused the event. Though many people see these as the same thing they are inherently very different.

To explain the event usually requires a story to provide context. Without the context people will jump to conclusions.
