The exam was available starting yesterday and will close on Friday at 11:59pm.  The Mid-Term Exam, which will cover Chapters 1-6, is 100% online and open-book. It is a short essay type exam – 10 questions. Make sure your responses are thoughtful and address all aspects of the questions. I will provide you a final grade based upon your knowledge  and understanding of the materials covered in the text and course.

Here are a few tips . . .

First, be sure to provide robust and complete answers that fully expound on the question.  When in doubt, add a little more detail. Those few extra sentences will help me determine how well you understand the material.

Second, please do not quote sources within your answers.  Let me be clear . . . I appreciate that you might want to bring in outside material – and that’s great for other work in this course.  But for the exams, I want your answers in your own words so I can determine your level of understanding of the material.

Finally, do NOT copy your answers from anywhere – including websites or the textbook.  That is considered plagiarism.  Please put answers in your own words.
